Passengers stranded on that highway consists of tourists from India & Abroad. They can not be reached by any alternate route. If supplies can't reach then in time,many deaths will occur due to cold, hunger & SNOW/LAND SLIDES. It seems you have not traveled to kashmir, hence you are putting up such remarks. People you are referring to are safe in their houses in such cold wave.

These people are the one who were stranded on Highways and other places from where they could not reach their homes. They will go to their homes. they were not rescued from their houses.
