Do you know britishers came to India to exploit resources? The dirty streets in India is the result of the resources which they have deprived Indians for during their stay in India.

UK should look inside for the muck!
by mmmanish on Jan 12, 2012 02:12 PM  | Hide replies

BBC/UK should look inside for the muck in form of racial discrimintation or child abuse. UK feels white color gives them the right to do anything but the same white color has red rashes which make them look like rabid pig. Have they ever realised that an Indian group like Tata took less than 2 years to turn around a stale company like Jaguar to come back to life?

Ms Chadda, your grasp of history is rather perilous to life and limb. Have you heard of the cycle effect? Kindly reflect before broadcasting ignorant views. Thank you.

In 1670 the contribution of Indian sub continent to world GDP was 32% and UK's contribution was in the range of 1.5%. This was almost got reversed by early 90's.

Making use of the invention of Gun Powder and associated weapons, the Europeans captured and looted most of the world from 1700 and made all the colonies gravely impoverished.

It was through wide spread violent methods and depriving the native population the basic rights education and food they had deprived more than 75% human population suffering from 1700 to Mid 90's.

Now the modern generation of these in human people are getting jelous of the kind of development happening in countries like India and making use of all kinds ill gotten methods ( killing people to mocking jokes) to subvert the growth of nations like India.

India has realised and accepted the truth that brtishers can't work and are inefficient and it took indian company to turn around sick companies like Jaguar. UK employees are off the hook from Friday afternoon to enjoy their weekend irrespective if the job is completed or not while Indians ensure that job is completed before proceeding for liesure breaks.

What jeremy clarkson or any other foreigner has pointed out about India is the harsh reality of life in the nation.instead of shhoting the messenger it would be better for the people and the government to make corrections only for a better future for themselves if not for anyone else.

Thats not the point. The issue is, who the hell is HE to make fun of a culture that he doesn't belong to. He might have pointed out many truths, but then that should have been told in a constructive way, if at all, he had intended to. Do you really think, British culture (or for the matter any culture in the world) has got no negatives ..common..give me a break.

How do you think, would an avg Brisher react to some Indian making fun of theirs.

Re: Re: Re: Truth

I guess what he is saying is about the intent. This is not the first time somebody did this. Many programs and documentaries are made on such issues of India, by many foreign channels. Even Paul Merton did entire season of his traveler series on India and showed problems as well. But he was not mocking anyone. Neither he had any intention of making fun OF people. He was just trying to get these issues in light.

Here, this guy is just trying to use these issues to ridicule Indians and in few scenes the culture as well. That's not done in good taste. Just watch it and you will understand what I mean.

We Indian have a great culture and that is our asset and we are proud of that. YOu dont see Indian type culture in the foreign lands either US or UK or else. However, one thing is clear, are you satisfied with the services provided by the Govt in Indian Railways or the poor people are becoming poorer day by day just because of the cunning Politicians and Babus, how long this will continue, is there any end. Whereas the White people are enjoying and leading a lavish life, we dont want a lavish life at least three time meal for everybody, day before yesterday our Honble PM was saying that 43% of kids in India dying of malnutrition. He said he was ashmed of the news. Now you say...The Tax payers money is eaten by the Politicians and Babus and lot of crooks..

Aah, but that's exactly what we did to the Indian 'messenger'--remember the fellow along with Kalmadi during the 2010 Commonwealth Games--when he, bless him, pointed out that our understanding and acceptance of hygiene standards is rather flexible and ductile when compared to Western standards? :-)

I think the point here is to not make too much of the crass jokes of an ignoramus like this Clarkson fellow. Our depth has to be far more to chew these things and spit them out undigested.
