Indipendence of Tibet
by Vasudeva rao on Jan 16, 2012 08:20 PM  | Hide replies

Way back in 1980,s, there was an article in Bhavan,s journal about correspondence between Nehru and sardar Patel regarding Chinese advance into Tibet.Sardar Patel wrote to Nehru to call for cabinet meeting to discuss about keeping Tibet as independent country which will act as a buffer state since china cannot be trusted. instead calling for a meeting Nehru gave Tibet on a platter to china. Now we are facing the trouble for the omission of Nehru,s action as suggested by Sardar Patel. If any body can trace this letter of Sardar Patel, I request them to place before the public.

Mr. Vasudev Rao,
Sardar Patel wrote that letter just short of his departure for his heavenly abode. It can be found in the national archives. Or else find the Book on 1962 war by Brigadier JP Dalvi :"The Himalayan Blunder". The letter is reproduced in that book.

What is the sense ? Have rediff wrote about Naga Soldiers or Rajput soldiers ?

No,writing about tibetan soldier at the behest of western globalist forces who wants a divided Asia to sell weapons..

Some of our Inglish speaking half educated brats are adding fuels to the fire acting as their agents...

It's high time

It's high time that 4-6 lacs, Tibetans should contribute to India's progress. Let them not be here for nothing!

This sounds harsh, but at the end of the day, everybody is accountable.

India is plainly gaining nothing out of them. Instead had we given shelter to the dislocated jews, they would've formed a formidable force for India.

India must not support Dalai Lama because it cannot afford to antagonize China.

i dont know whether u r a chinese or not.but look tibet was and independent territory and today it is not.It is simply because china annexed them to china.it was the responsibility of india to give refuge.we tibetands and indians are brothers.it is due to this reason that they attcked india in 1963.so we indian s have to and we would be supporting the tibetan people and theit freedom.jai india jai tibet.jai his holiness dalai lama.iam and indian and iam proud to be an indian....

india and tibet are bound religiously... manasarovar and mount kailash are holy both to us and tibetans.... china has no business in tibet except forceful imperialism... the actual chinese civilization has no connection with tibet other than silk route.... its we indians who have more stronger religious links...and china wants to destroy this faith bond ..by attacking dalai lama.

the dream of free tibet is only possible by a political upheaval in china ...confronting chinese army and grabbing is impossible. not even US and Russia put together can do that. So the hope is to revive democracy and free china movements.

I agree with you.We all know the ground realities-China is almost invincible, militarily.Tibet can be liberated only if there is an upheaval in China for democracy.Moaist or Communist idealogy is no different than the worst form of Western Imperialism which the world haswittnessed in the by-gone centuries.
