Even after 60 plus years of misrule and corruption, congress is busy putting the blame on others than fixing its past mistakes!
What a shame!
If they were serious about changing ways, the first thing to do would have been to fix their past mistakes! But this is not going to happen as they are pretty comfy where they are.
Dr.Manmohansing is collition but performing better than Mr.Atalbihari. The opposition parties are main hurdle in the development plans and are supported so called wise but negative thinkers who come together as Gang Aanna, added by some selfish alliances like Mamta and DMK. Therefore only one party government is the solution for India, to progress!

RSS is devising numerous plans to break India into pieces, they will undermine constitution, undermine democracy for the fwd caste hegemony.. Govt. should deal with RSS just like how it deals with terror, b'cos backstabbing hurts more than direct stabbing...
After Independence our "Founding Fathers" opined that since India is a "peac-loving nation" we do not need an army . For a long time Military Industrial complex was a bad word in this country . The Chinese kick on our butts in 1962 changed that attitude. But too late now . At least beef up our forces nowand stop looking at arms deals as cash cows for political animals and others. Learn from the past . Make the Henderson Brookes' Report public. Politicians have no right to hide their failures and corruption from the public.
A fairly tame article by Cmde Uday Bhasker. While it is true our political class seems oblivious to the challenges so it does seem are our bureaucrats. Apart from throwing money at the problem--do note India is one of the largest importers of arms, theirs is a laissez-faire attitude. Meanwhile the chinese initiatives in the Indian Ocean region is soon making it the Chinese Ocean! The unfashionable chinese string of pearls is tightening around the slender Indian neck--with bases springing up in Myanmar, Srilanka Pakistan and recent news is in Seychelles. Our three dimensional operational navy was one area where perhaps we had a superiority! The lead time to acquire induct assimilate new force levelsis long. The depths our governance has plummeted will require a will of special steel to correct. Any strategist knows it is unlikely 2012 will make the slightest difference to the present scenario. What we need is hawks among our bureaucrats and military leaders ,not doves if we are to see a sea change!

We still cannot call ourselves military superpower, because a country relying on foreign nations for arms cant defend itself fully.

With a non-fumctional government, obtuse and ill-directed, the economy grew fast in the past few years. With all the corruption around, we were able to make India shine, now it is upto the politicians we have elected ( sadly, because the choice is so limited ) to put into action an effective government, control corruption and inflation, and WORK, not make noise. If Parliament meets and does not transact business, the MPs should be punished publicly. Let industry and the economy grow, and let Parliament work. The people of India see enogh tamasha on the road and do not wish to see it live on TV happening in Parliament.
