here there are two issues involved. 1. should the non executive directors be arrested or not. if they should also be arrested, then how come that the state government representatives in the board of amri are still free? they should be arrested too forthwith. why is it that the non executive directors of one community was only targeted initially? wasn't the state government being partial? if non executive directors are also to be tried then how come ms mamata banerjee was not arrested for numerous train accidents during her tenure as railway minister? there were large loss of lives in those train accidents. 2. the second point of view is that should the non executive directors at all be held responsible for the negligence? i am a small time shareholder-owner of several companies. should i also be arrested if these companies indulge in illegal activities? there are several questions of law involved here and the government should apply the rules equally to all concerned irrespective of their stature in the society. as for example, i have never broken any laws of the land, but tomorrow if i commit a murder, would the government allow mw to go scot free? if not, then why this cacophony on the arrest of dr, chhetri?

This is quite justifiable to say that law should be equally applicable to everybody irrespective of their age, status etc. But we can find certain amount of discrimination since the government officials including the concern ministers of respective departments were not even asked to appear before the investigation process. This is once again an eyewash and a cheap method to become popular before the major masses who actually elect political representative. Our new chief minister is more clever than her predecessor. She wants to remain in power by way adopting these type of popular measure. If she has real courage all the officials associated with government including concerned ministers should be taken into judicial custody. We are sincerely looking forward for her further positive action in this regard.

lame article on flawed logic

So if all managing directors irrespective of their roles and responsilbilities in organization be arrested why dont you arrest the state officials responsible for fire safety and health minister as well.

Or by same logic if there is a case of medical negligence would you arrest facilities manager or finance manager of the hospital instead of doctor and head of the concerned department ?
A managing director is an executive role and

In any large organization there are different people who have different roles and responsibilities.
Mamta is just playing to gallarey and nothing more

Well it is Indian attitude People always support a group or fraternity they are associated with. No principals, no feelings of justice. That what happens in all sections of the society. Politicians, leaders etc etc.How many of them have been punished or meted out justice. The Anna group. I would like each and everyone of them if they have not paid a bribe to avoid a penalty or get things done easily for example pay a small bribe to the traffic constable instead of paying a fine for not wearing a seat belt or a helmet etc. Coming back to the age of the doctors I feel for them but if they had crossed a certain age why did they not takle retirement. they could still have worked as a doctor/investor. I have old parents and we are not very rich my father had a business but the moment he felt he would not be able to perform his duties he retired. He is still rendering service to the society as an when needed in terms of sharing his views, ideas, strategies and experience free of cost.

Directors opened Eyes to Money but Closed to all the Rest

90 people choked to Suffocation.....Beyong imagination when I put myself in the shoes of the sufferer....

...The harshest punishment should go to those who made the most Money while choosing to look the other side.......An excuse like "Being a Director I'm not involved in Day to Day activity" wont work....as they are involved in Day to Day Money making....

u want to say the same thing when one from your family member died in the incident?? if you start looking everything from this point of view. the diff between right and wrong will nbe blurred and you wud not do the right thing because it is a vote bank. She may have to arrest all of them but she did catch few of then and that is not wrong. Put pressure on her to convict all of them. It is right now half done which is right ... lets make do the other half which is also right.
