indian media has become laughing stock
by deepak on Jan 02, 2013 01:09 AM

indian media has become laughing stock. hardly anyone trusts the india media news. this is evident from comments in their sites and other social media. ppl. hardly read full article before discarding it. i have also got a habit not to read full article and discard it as i know its paid. so dont worry media has lost its place for right reasons mentioned above. we are no more illiterate, poor, helpless, unconnected people. we have changed and for better.. so i guess as there is no respect for media it shows media its place in today's life..

Urgent steps needed!

1. Strict laws and punishments for proven offenders.

2. Mass media campaigns educating all walks of people about the need to respect women from all walks of life and consequent punishments if they fail to do so.

3. An ombudsman who will act as the central point of contact for all complaints related to violence against women. The same ombudsman should also have the power to stop the abuse of these new powers by women wanting to punish men with whom they have issues!

In India laws are often misused by different groups! Example is the anti-dowry laws which were made to protect women but quite often have been used by women against their in-laws in cases of mistrust or other arguments not related to dowry abuse!

As a society we need a find a healthy balance between respect for women and respecting the rights of men!

Its time we change the attitude little bit. Always use word WE and not India. It give us team feeling and doer attitude. Also always talk about specific action you are taking, its working/not working to make living a better in your town. dont waste time on gossip or finding fault in others. happy new year. Jai ho.

A staff reporter already beat everybody to this concept!

TOI published her news report a couple of days back in which she described how she was groped at one of the protests in Delhi!

Many people who watch tv are uneducated and dumb. They believe whatever they see on tv is true and the news channels take advantage of that.
