They have been paying pppouuurrkksss for decades to keep things under wraps but have gotten nothing in return.
The only sure way of getting return on their investment is by staying in afghanistan under some training pretext and keeping a tab on things. Otherwise, the pppouurkss will very quickly take things back to where they were and US would have wasted it all!
