The Central government should in-act a new law to hang rapist. When it comes to group rape these guys should be hung in public and castrated for the country to see that these acts are not welcomed in INDIA.
Shame that tulers and intellectuals and media have NOT thought of long term steps to prevent eve teasing&rapes,etc To prevent eve-teasing of grils and women and to prevent rapes, there must be WELL planned measures& NOT just talk ONLY, what a shame!There must be special buses &special compartments in trains for girls and women only and they should be driven by female drivers and there msut be woman conductors and woman assistants to help them too, NO OTHER solution to eve teasing in delhi&rapes too, Further there must be majority women constables in police stations&separate women wing in each police station and police stations controlled by women ONLY and with no men! Double or triple the number of police women and number of women- only police stations too all over india now! Lastly Ban Bollywood,kollywood,regional cinemas, Obscene Media TV ads, TV dance shwos,etc which provoke and make us an eve-teasing&rape Nation too! RSS,VHP&BJP can implement the above measurs i BJP ruled states and show to the world how to protect the honour of women and to protect them from eve teasers,rapiists,etc,etc
main culprits are films actress who are showing her body for money, acting in rape scenes by villains, these are all uneducated people are watching doing the same in realand those acting in obscenes should be put into jail and they are the spoilers of the soceity. take veg food avoid non veg food, your thoughts will be good, like human not animals

Foreigners eat lot of non veg food and their actresses expose much more. Are rapes more in west? Kya bakwas yaar. The reason why rapes dont happen in much in west is that their laws are more stringent and police more powerful.

The major reason for all the lack of law and order in India is simply this : the police to population ratio is just 130 per 100000 people, well below the minimum police strength of 222 per 100000 people recommended by the UN.
Law and order is needed for healthy progress of the country in all sectors, and this is essentially provided by a good and effective police force.
All developed and progressive nations have a very good police to population ratio. France (356), Germany (298 ),Great Britain( 307 ), U.S.A (256),Spain (511),Belgium(373), Malaysia (370),Singapore(752) are examples.
Good law and order ensures a healthy society and a good background for economic development as well for obvious reasons.
The Indian government need not get tense and worried about the costs of maintaining a 222 strong police to population ratio, as the strong economic development that comes with good law and order will more than compensate for the greater investment in the policing sector.
If India aspires to be a developed nation, it should first increase the police to population ratio from its measly 130 at present to at least the UN recommended minimum police strength of 222.
Otherwise all these crimes and protests will keep on happening without any end at sight.

Non Veg food has got nothing to do with rape > pl change your mentality. The entire Gulf countries viz Saudi Arabia UAE Bahrain Qatar Oman and Kuwait are non veg. had it been so then we all would had witnessed thousands of rape every minute. Its the absence of proper laws and its implementation which is conducive for rapists to indulge in their heinous crimes.Had Ram Singh and party committed this crime in Dubai or Saudi Arabia then their bodies would had been sent back to India long before the poor girl was sent to Singapore for treatment!.
This is universal issue....unless women and girls participate in preventing rape....rapes cannot be stopped at all... 1. Girls/Women should not be recruited in night jobs, India can say bye to such companies. 2. Women hould form vigil groups themselves and impose decent dress code, this should be community step and not police. 3. The trigger factors that lead to to rape is provocative dresses. 4. US court has also ruled that a rape cannot happen unless victim participates in it.
Give men jobs, protect institution of family stop divorces and protect little children.
MNC's insist on women empowerment to increase consumption. A divorced lady will have seperate house, seperate grocery, all seperate.
In India community should work, In Dakshin Kannada many schools have imposed dress code, it's working, how come large community like muslim have no problem with Burkha ? Women should participate, else rapes will only increase.

Dear Varsha,you had rightly done analysis to remove the undue excesses ,but the modernity and to establish equal to men are increasing, resulting commercial use of body becoming easy tool of progress.The women are more exploiting to women than men.

You are right Varsha.Slawar ,jumper ,oordhani is good dress for girls.But no body likes this dress.This dress shows nice look.Only if the women keep her mind to avoid to show off then only crime will go down.Things will not stop but it come to minimise the ratio.Every person has right to move but in this case it happened.Laws should be more strict so any body want make such crime so that they think 100 times.
Few things that can be done *Companies that hire women employees for night or off hour shifts should provide their own transportation which should be subsidized the the govt. *Report such crimes immediately since many folks have cell phones. *Best of all citizens when they see such crime beat the shit out of these folks when you outnumber the criminals. Folks have lot of power but they don't realize it. *Ask for stiff penalties like casterization in rape cases.
