I fear that Modi might just lose because of the over-marketing that is going on about progress in Gujarat. Remember BJP lost the national elections when the came up with the 'India Shining' campaign prematurely. Such statements hurt the sentiments of the really poor and backward people who feel insulted. Haryana Congress also almost lost when they came up with the 'No.One Haryana' slogan. The fact is that all states of India are still poor in comparison to any developed country. So any attempt by any party to project that their state has become No.1 or Developed will raise a lot of fury... (and rightly so)

liquor has been officially banned in Gujarat since a very long time. But it is still available everywhere and has only given rise to a flourishing bootlegging industry... it is better they remove prohibition and put the right controls...

Yes, I will support Modi. We will get milk yummy icecream from Amul dairy. More nutritious than Alcohol. You should also eat icecream and shun alcohol.

Vijay Darda, the Rajya Sabha MP of the Congress, who was in town to receive "Tarun Kranti" award from Jain spiritual leader Tarun Sagar commended Modi's role in Indian politics and described him as the "lion of Gujarat." Not stopping at that, Darda went a step ahead and while referring to Swami Vivekananda whose 150th birth anniversary year is being celebrated in a big way by Modi, Darda said that Modi is following his path and is a 'nationalist saint.' The above list is not a single scam, these are the tools of developement. If you go be the no. of scams and amount involved by the UPA aka congress which are real scams.
