Khangress never believed in building economy and strengthening the common man. It has always used shortcuts to remain in power and fooled simple poor people. That over 40 percent of agiculture produce is wasted due to poor storage facilities was a a well known fact for last 50 years. What did the Congress do for this all these years? Our economy grew at 9-10 percent for last ten years which generated huge tax revenues as well. UPA used this huge tax revenue to support MNREGA (an unproductive scheme, stinking with corruptiion at all levels) rather than investing the same money in building infrastructure for which they are now looking at MNCs. They went ahead with MNREGA as it bought them votes. Similary, this time they are going ahead with CASH TRANSFERS which is again just a bribibing mechanism and short cut to power. Why the government is not partnering with private sector to build cold storages etc. When Indian companies can build these structures abroad, why can't they do in India? The argument that FDI will help create infrastruter is only an eyewash. In fact the UPA is trying to wriggle out of a very poor balance of payment situation which is straining rupee. Is it only an attempt to get dollors to shore up the rupee without any concrete plan to sttrengthen economy? If it is so it will be again a big joke on people of India.

Amin will neutralize whatever old RSS guy who wants now Parvirtan could have changed for Congress. It is amazing that Congress is now backing only on ex RSS & CBI to win in Gujarat which f0r them will be sour grapes
Labour minister Mallikarjun Kharge told Rajya Sabha that in the three years -- from 2007 to 2009 -- Gujarat had managed to place 1,78,000, 2,17,000 and 1,53,000 workers, respectively, through employment exchanges.
None of the states were in the striking distance. The second best, however, was Maharashtra that had managed to place nearly 8,000 in 2007; 11,000 in 2008 and 24,000 in 2009. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh were among other states in that order that had made some contribution along with Maharashtra.
This also reflects in Gujarat per capita income, at $833 it is higher than the national average of $627 as per the 2005-06 data. In the past few years, the state has significantly added its manufacturing capability which alone accounts for highest employment.
