Wasting money and time on foreign degrees

I don't understand why Indians spend a whole load of money to study overseas university, many are dodgy anyway!
The argument for foreign degrees have lost shine in the last decade since many Indian universities are world class now.
Foreign countries now don't allow you to stay and work after you gain the degree.. meaning you cannot earn more money or get good foreign working experience! Many Indian firms can now send Indian students abroad, thus gaining the required foreign experience! Also, many Indian firms operate in India where now it is a bigger market, so domestic knowledge and experience are much more relevant!
Indian students are targeted for bullying/mugging/attacks/murders etc.

Earlier, students could work part time and also use that money to pay off fees. Now, those doors are fast shutting down, if not closed completely.

At the end of all, many are no better than their Indian counterparts, if not completely jobless, debt ridden, and hold a useless degree. Very few degrees now in foreign countries are just not worth the time, effort and money.

But I guess, many fall victim for their sweet talk and brochures and best colleges ratingslist which are baised towards western based!

Its a colonial hangover over Indian mentality that foreign equates to better!!! Pathetic!

I dont think its only the hangover, there are many factors to it.
1. Can all Indians qualify for IIM ?
2. If some one is eager to have a nice life or some part of life spent in WEST, is it bad ? given its fantastic infrastucture and its free spirit ? I guess any one would want to fancy a nice time, which will be unaffordable here in India.
3) There is a theory that by working part time u can re-cover the fees, which is not possible in India.
4) YES foreign return helps to get better opening in India, to tell u the fact, even western EXECUTIVES especially related to IT sector like to SHOW on the CV that they have worked in India to tell the clients that they have worked with the BEST.

I think u need to grow out of colonial hangover, its globalization today, tomorrow i dont know !!!
