On a more positive note, the report also says that none of the dead were the son of a neta or a babu. They were the sons of the aam aadmi, who really don't matter.
FIRST, THE NAME PAK MEANS PURE, RIGHT~ BUT THEY DO THE MOST IMPURE ACTIONS ON EARTH. TOTALLY UNISSLAMIC.
2ND, THEY TALK ONE THING. THEN THEIR THOUGHTS ARE TOTALLY ANOTHER THING. BUT THEIR ACTION IS A DIFFERENT THIRD THING. AGAIN, TOTALLY UNISSLAMIC.
3RD, THEY HATE THEIR OWN, IN THEIR ENTIRE HISTORY. THEY HATE IRANIANS (MOST NICE PPL I THOUGHT) THEY HATE THE AHMEDIYYAS, PATHANS, KURDS, BALOCHIS (ALL PEACEFUL GROUPS THESE). THEY HATE ANYTHING DECENT IN FRONT OF THEM. AGAIN, TOTALLY UNISSLAMIC.
NOW THEY HATEtaliban. AGAIN, TOTALLY UNISSLAMIC.
DOWN WITH PAKISTAN I SAY. FINISH THEM OFF, ALL OF THEM.
these soldiers lives have no value for our bas.... politicians. what agony the families might be going through. so sad state of affairs of india where poor man's life has no value.
Kindly let us know how many died in securing battle in summer 1984 alone without mixing the numbers with follow-up causulties, which can make the facts more clear !

One should not so lightly blame Nehru. If not Kashmir then Punjab would have been the battle field, with infinitely more serious consequences. It was a wise joint decision between the then Pakistani and Indian leadership to do the fighting in the isolated, low populated, zero economic activity, God forsaken piece of rock called Kashmir. That justification remains valid even today.
If the wars had all been mainly held in Punjab then India's granary would not have developed and millions of Indians would still be living on PL480 red wheat, palm oil, and skim milk powder. Indian government foreign policy would have been largely determined by severe dependence on imported food. Industry too would have been badly affected. Moreover the capital Delhi would have been frequently near to the war zone.
It is fortunate for both Indians and Pakistanis that the place for the war was chosen as Kashmir, and that such a place existed. It is also very fortunate that the war has never been permitted to go to completion.
A good thing done by Indians was to preemptively occupy the Siachen heights. India can afford whatever lives and material it costs, but the Siachen glacier must be kept in firm Indian control as long as Pakistan exists.
Perhaps, the only breed of Indians that brings cheer to its countrymen is the brave Jawaans (not including those who harm innocents armed with the AFSPA) protecting us from hostilities at all corners of the country. We may not have the best military in the world, but whatever we have has made us immensely proud!!! Siachen- the toughest battlefield and army-station in the world has been a hostile home to our jawaans for decades now, and yet these soldiers have shown no hesitation putting up where no ordinary human can! They've passed the toughest test of nature!! How I wish we had won the 1947 Battle somehow- Nehru's interference or not, and made Kashmir a non-issue then itself. Unfortunately the Kashmir region is more famous as the Kashmir Conflict now. "GAR FIRDAUS BAR RUE ZAMIN AST, HAMI ASTO, HAMI ASTO, HAMI ASTO"

this conflict is nehru's 'gift forever' to nation. his kids are now maintaining it with their dilly dally policies and separate law.
There is something wrong with this as it would mean 3 soldiers each month. Rediff should have conveyed the rate of rise or fall of mortality over these last 28 years instead to understand whether our leaders have actually taken cognizance of the hardships faced by our men up there in Sachien . A comparative analysis with the casualties inflicted on Pakistani , Chinese forces should have been presented .
Homework not done properly . This is Just another article to create panic and demoralize our forces .
