Bullshit

There is something wrong with this as it would mean 3 soldiers each month. Rediff should have conveyed the rate of rise or fall of mortality over these last 28 years instead to understand whether our leaders have actually taken cognizance of the hardships faced by our men up there in Sachien . A comparative analysis with the casualties inflicted on Pakistani , Chinese forces should have been presented .

Homework not done properly . This is Just another article to create panic and demoralize our forces .

Indian common people do not have the courage to cross he borders and hit the enemy inside their home land, like what the Pakistanis have been doing ever since Independence. Indians have to pay for this serious shortcoming in their character. Almost every other nation's people have the habit of attacking anyone who attacks them, but Indians do not do that.

Compromise is the Indian national character, balming this or that political prty does not change that simple truth. During the other party's Government, they kept the Indian Army marching up and down the international border in full gear and with the bands playing, like some sort of ceremony, but were careful not to actually fire a shot, invade the enemy, or even to provoke the enemy into providig a tenable excuse for action. It was mere display without any action, and had a high financial cost for the poor Indian citizens with no useful geopolitical results. All that inspite of the enemy having offered more than enough provocation through their Parliamentary attacks.

So it is a common shortcomig of Indian character as a whole, not a matter of any particular political parties.

Indians are just shopkeepers by habit, not patriots. Politicians can not do much about it. Even the Idependence struggle could not provoke more than about ten dozen Indians into violent action.

Money Making Factory
by Real India on Aug 28, 2012 11:28 AM

These are just some of the factories which were built intentionally by some to keep producing black money for ages to come.. These are issues which will never come to an end and keep filling bank accounts of some... If we finish these problems how kick back money will be generated!
India need to think why we never promoted Indigenous defense supply industry... even after 6 & half decades of our independence.

Nehru's Folly

Nehru's mistakes in Kashmir have cost India dear.Had Indian forces gone ahead and liberated Kashmir completely in 1947-48 the entire Kashmir would have been a part of India.Nehru went to UN for international fame and Kashmir issue is unresolved till date.Nehru betrayed India.

Could be a possibility, but you've got to take into account the number of Indian troops that could have been martyred in the hostile and high mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Pakistan held Kashmir to our North.
Perhaps, Nehru's decision, not considering his intentions, was right at that time, but unfortunately failed thereafter. Nehru was requested by the Army Chief to allow the Indian Army to wipe off all invaders from Kashmir, but Nehru thought otherwise and the problem of Divided Kashmir persists till date, and will possibly forever! The mesmerizing Gilgit-Baltistan, housing the K2 have been lost to Pakistan.
