This is not good news. That bangle wearing idiot has been promoted. He should have been sacked from the police force. That would have been good news.

He has now stared a new trend of super secularism for criminals to be arrested and interrogated-
Mus1ims will be aarrested after EID Hindus will be arrested after Diwali or Ganpati Christians will be arrested after Christmas

why him alone why not Home Minister. Are Ministers immune to rule of law. It is high time Home Minister is sacked not removed because right from the beginning he has created lot of problems and utterly failed to maintain law and order

the promotion to DG of maha security is just an Euphemism for actually handing him an insignificant post where he will probably have to sell bangles:D

How the senior police chief is transferred in India is really ridiculous and demoralizing for police. The same styapal singh then police commissioner of pune was transferred following the pune bomb blast, now he has been given a hot seat. An ordinary leader like Raj who takes a small possession out and threatens to remove patnayak and government removes with no time without any hesitation. Patnayak was appreciated for his handling in Azad maidan. His transfer is discouraging for police. Congress is playing dirty politics .

Patnaik could not even protect the police personnel. He tied the hands of his force and let them face violence from the thugs who came to the Raza Academy rally on Aug 11th. Police personnel were attacked & injured, women contables molested, pblic property destroyed, media attacked, arms & ammunition snatched, but still Patnaik did not allow the police to use firearms. Then he even added that the Mumbai police would arrest the rioters after EID to show their super secularist credentials!! The day, police have to decide on arrest timing and maintaining Law & Order by looking at the culprits' religions, everyone will lose respect.
So who is appreciating Arup Patnaik? He is a blot on the name of Mumbai police!

he is not transferred but promoted, read the news again. Now don't ask on what grounds he is been promoted, I don't think there are any. :)
Another statement that Chief Minister made yesterday was that proposal of Patnaik's promotion was given on 8th AUG.
