my father has been driving a car specially build for the disabled people for past 24 yrs.
His 1st car was in a Maruti Car 800, way back in 1988, then he got Zen Automatic, Honda City AT, and now he is driving SX 4AT.
Govt. of India allows people with disability from the to buy cars and give them heavy discounts on the car:
1. Exercise Duty discount 2. Road Tax discount 3. State Tax discount 4. Insurance for such cars is 1/2 of the original
Almost all top car manufacturers are producing cars for People with Disability. And there are 6 types of fittings that can be got onto your car. And this is done by the car manufacturer themselves.
I am not discrediting what Mr Rodricks has been doing, as I sincerely believe we cannot leave all things to the Govt. and we need to evangelize most of the things to make a difference.

I would like to know what kinds of fittings are you referring to, since there are not advertised.
Grateful for a response since I am looking for a specially modified car for myself.
I myself Physically challanged person has taken the WAGON R and converted so i can drive. Mr Ferdinand Rodricks has done a great job in my life. Also to note if you go for new CAR there is no RTO charges (approx- 20 -40K) but for this we need all the certification from Ferdinand Rodricks and HAJIALLI certificate. So plz any Physically challanged go for it, there is no problem for driving the car. thanks u MR Ferdinand Rodricks for changing my life.
