corrupt politician,if corrupt politician like him was not able to get a donated kidney or liver transplant done one can understand the apathy of many others who have been waiting endlessly for recovery. poor indians

Many non-mahas consider Vilasrao Deshmukh as a corrupt politician. But, being in Mumbai for some years, I know that he is a mass leader just like the Maratha strong man. Many times the ordinary people think that a water pump or a school in their village is much more precious than the crores pocketed by the politicians.

Maharastra is blessed with water agriculture and industry Its a point of investigation or suspence where maharastra proggressed in his 7 yrs of rule I have been in mumbai for last 35 yrs please let me also know the difference

Surely he was a popular and mass leader. Since a figure of 7 lakhs has been mentioned, it shows the popularity of the leader. I was just wondering what would be the number of people in the funeral procession for our other public figures in news recently : Anna Hazare : around 1 - 1.5 lakhs RK Yadav (Ramdev) : may be some 4000 - 5000 (depending upon whether the organisers provide Food / shelter / transport like in Ramlila ground.

Congress has large machinery built by looting people, ( including adarsh scam) and this machinery can mobilize 100 lakhs people. If we call it as popularity then; yes, as we have family oriented democracy, we accept this cheap popularity.
