As she is finding faults with sponsership.
Whats wrong in sponsers paying money and move wheels of economy.
Disease of Marxims has created an army of psudo-intellectuals educated beyond their intellectual capability. These people can just celebrate poverty and are responsible to perpituate poverty bringing misery to millions.

Continuing from last post
There is a strong corelation between economy and sports. Indian has started winning few medals for last 3 olympics.
The moment we will shed the socialism and marxism and enter high growth phase we can expect more medals.

I think it is agood idea as there are so many reality shows on TV nowadays and these shows help bring out very talented singers and actors. Some one should try this out to bring out some new talents.

Shame ......of India..........
by anand van on Aug 08, 2012 08:21 AM  | Hide replies

Olympics always highlight our poor performance in sports and highly inefficient sports ministry.Behind every Chinese medal their is dedicated work by their government but in India international sports events are seen as an shopping and entertainment trip for useless government officers and politicians.

Have personal experience. My niece who is 6'1" had all the making of an athlete. Unfortunately, local and central sport bodies did not support her well. She had to practice in totally uncomfortable conditions. Any hope of making it to the national team was lost despite her regular participation in team events. Local politicians step in and favor their own kith and kin spoiling the chances of a worthy sportsman and sportswoman. This is the real story.

To continue with the above, one MLA who was supposed to head one of the events was fully drunk. He was more interested in eyeing the girls in the events than presiding this important function.

There is no point in winning Gold always. It is important to participant in the games.

We should be proud of India's achievement.

What is your point?

If you are an Indian citizen you should be sorry and ashamed at the worse than poor (and predictable) performance of the Indian contingent. You are not supposed to feel emotional connect with the Chinese or Russian athletes, not because they are products of 'government run' (what does that mean by the way?) systems, but because YOU are not them. Do you have any emotional connect with the fact that young India do not bother to deep a foot in the swimming pool or kick a football? If you do not then please stop writing nonsense and wasting media space.

Realistic article
by C M on Aug 07, 2012 07:04 PM

Nice article..Sports is good , important in life, Winning is important..but more important is stand up for self win or loose...Usually sports teach this to one...Olympics is not the only std...Most of the time its all about business. Ppl say Ind is county of 1.2 bil and not winning enough medals. Its just becoz Indians r not serious abt it thats all...Afterall How many folks from So called top medal winner country, even know medal winners of their own..?? The ans is painstakingly very few..Everyone knows Michael phelps for few years of course but that doesnt mean each olympic Gold winner or any medal winner gets same fame or money or anything...And there is lot lot of investment time , money ..Indians just know where to invest BEST..thats all...And like One legendary sportsman said somewhere sometime back..Sports is just a toy dept...Its good to hv it Its not something one can not live without it..Afterall how many Olympic Medalers/Sports person became great leaders, enterpreneurs, philonthropist revoloutionary, Bottom line is they r probably best in their field during that particular time outta of millions ..but they can not lead or drive millions ...Just my opinion.
