It is a mini and not even a small tribute to the hero of epic 'Operation Meghdoot' which was launched by Indian forces to secure Siachin glacier. I have been narrated innumerable times by my friends in the forces the story of Hon. Capt. Bana Singh braving all odds and capturing the highest post on the highest battle ground in the world laden with bottomless crevasses and temperatures dropping below minus fifty degrees. It is these people and their acts of valour of which folktales of courage and fortitude are made of and inspire future generations. The capture of this highest post by Hon. Capt. Bana Singh and his team members ensured a dominant position for India in Siachin which it is retaining till date. JAI HIND!
Generally people dont survive after their retirement.working is something different and couragious.after 50 years of age or after 60 indian people die and dont think to do anything.Positive approach is shown by this man,,,
I was 10 years old when Siachen battle happened. Not one mention of the battle in any of our history textbooks, not one mention ever..I salute you Bana Singh!
