Everybody knows why Pakistan suddenly wanted to "show" good relations with India. Nothing tangible is going to come out. A few days MMS says he will visit Pakistan only if something Tangible comes out. Now suddenly nothing is being said about Tangible outcomes. It is under pressure with discussions with US on Afghanistan. US uses India card as a lever in its discussions with Pakistan. Ironically US fight with Taliban in Afghanistan is in India's interests. Pakistan has been playing the spoiler in Afghanistan. India should have pressed Pakistan for transit rights to send Indian goods to Afghanistan. Indian consulates have been bombed in Afghanistan by Pakistan directed insurgents and innocents murdered. It is puzzling why India should allow Pakistan an upper hand in its intransigent Army's/ISI combine's discussions with US. India can discuss, go gauge Pakistani intentions, but should ALWAYS judge Pakistan by its actions, and should have been careful NOT to let the media spin the discussions as bonhomie. India got nothing in return for strengthening Pakistan, no redressal of Defa-e-Pakistan/Sayeed's belligerent rhetoric, no justice for 26/11 attacks or attack on Indian consulates in Afghanistan, nor transit rights for goods to Afghanistan, nor toning down of proxy war that goes on unabated.
