Learn from Pakistan's mistakes
by French Cuisine on Sep 21, 2011 12:00 PM  | Hide replies

Dear fellow Indian bloggers - there are too many hate messages about how failed a state is Pakistan and how much backward Muslims are. And there is too much boasting about our own country, I have seen and lived in developed world and can testify that you can definitely treat India as a failed state when you compare ourselves. How much resources do France and Switzerland have? Canada is a hugeass country with almost zero population. When you try to compare India to them India is essentially a failed country. So - please stop this hatemongering. I would apprecitate if you write blogs from an objective viewpoint from a neutral point of view. Study failed countries too, not only successful ones. This article very nicely illustrates the difficulties an immigrant population faces in a gangsterized society. Politicized gangsters MQM fighting an incoming militant population. But this is precisely Mayawati's Uttar Pradesh. Just push a large mass of Rajasthanis into UP (maybe for the lack of water), where a different political force is in order and you will have exactly the same situation. So think again before badmouthing muzzies and mocking their desperate situation. Even a mullah from the rich Saudi Arabia can come here and do all that boasting.
Mayawati Laloo Yeddu Thackerey Jaya Reddy Pawar .... our politicians are no better than theirs. Our country is only marginally better

Yes - the 50% poor population in India will eat the 8% GDP growth. I am sitting in US right now - and it is difficult to comprehend how advanced this country is. I will return to India next week and will still try to grasp the difference. I suggest you eat your 50000 jobs and 8% GDP growth. No American cares - you fool.

We can compare very easily. Looking at how well activated the human resources are. Health food education - even if around 10% Indian population is as productive as French India should have comparable economy to France. Right now French GDP is 2 times ours.

@ French Cuisine ,,
taking care of a small family with just 1 or 2 kids is not a big deal ,, but when somebody has 2 to 4 wives & 15 to 20 children & even after that living a middle class life then this is to be appreciated ,, after all the stress/tensions/problems one goes through ,, even then able to maintain such a huge population is no small thing ,, jealousy is not the solution ,, learn from India how to continue strongly alhamdolillah even with so many hiccups ,,

French Cuisine, our (present day India, Pak and Bengla) resources were loooted by the IslamicInvaders and Euro-peanChristianColonizers for nearly 900 years prior to 1947. From 1947 to 1991 the progress in India was scuttled by the Licence-Permit-Quota Raj. It was only in 1991 that our country started progressing in real terms. We have come a long way since and will go a long way in another 20 ears.

India is a continent sized country with more than 1600 languages and followers of all majorReligions in the world. We also have a population of over 1.22 billion. India is a world in itself.

There is no comparison between small countries and India.

Yes - I know you guys love India and proud of its achievements. And I think India can do much better. It was the richest country some 300 years ago. But as you talked about population you are well aware that problem cannot be solved.

Still so much prejudice against others!!
by doyel mitra on Sep 21, 2011 11:57 AM  | Hide replies

It's disappointing to see that people who are capable of latest technologies are still have so much prejudice regarding other religions.

If religion is the root cause of all problems, then how come turkey, UAE and many of the middle-east countries are rich and stable?
Please remember, Dubai is a place where many Hindu Indians for earning livelihood.

On the other hand, Nepal was officially a Hindu state even few years ago and we all know the kind of unrest that happened and is still happening there.

I am a Hindu and I am proud that we got leaders like Mahatma and several others like him.
Otherwise, our country would have been ruled by hate-mongers and our cities won't be much different from Karachi where people would have been fighting on basis of ethnicity and language.

doyel mitra, you are comparing chalk and cheese. Nepal is a small locked country with hardly any natural resources where as the ArabianCountries are sitting on huge reserves of Hydro-carbon (crude-oil). Dubai is a trading centre and almost all cargo meant for the whole of PersianGulf passes thru Dubai.

To my knowlede theHindus are not making any absurd claims that their is the bestReligion airdropped by some MostMercifulCreator, so every one should convrt to theirReligion, etc
