What has this got to do with India? He is a born American citizen.
All Americans trace there heredity to some country. But we must be the only country in the world for taking pride in what an American has achieved - pathetic !!

and I know three others that came from same part of India in same clan that are famous worldwife for their knowledge.
NASA in US has a huge research center named 'Chandra' to honour the Nobel prize winner. Chandrasekar went to England but they insulted him, trahsed his works so he moved to US.
Very unfortunately, we failed to respect scientists, unlike we did thousands year ago. It was the british technique to insult brainy Indians, encourage filthy politicians to make Indians believe they are worthless and Whites will give better government. Stupidly even now we follow that. One such example is "equality in education". You train a genius surgeon, a teacher, a typist and jailer in same school expect them to excel in their work?

V B Chandrasekar is a technocrat who started a successful fibre optic industry in USA(I think it's Exodus Corpn.).
Subrahmanyan Chandrasekar is the astro-physicist and 1983 Nobel Laureate and nephew (brother's son) of Dr. C.V. Raman.
I share your feeling that scientific and technical knowledge is not really valued in our country.
