These days people would have stop to have insurance policy, rather they are moving in Railways . Every 2nd day railway is distributing compensation for accidents
What Lalu gained, Mamta lost. Now some joker from her party became the Rail minster. Poor people will continue to meet death if they travel by train....
All drivers,Pilots & navigators should be checked very often for there mental balance like domestic tensions, work Pressure, willingness to perform, alcoholism, drugs all that concern safety of Him & the people.Because of the driver attitude there is loss of many humans.

I strongly oppose ur suggestion...why wasting a bullet? Instead they can be thrown in front of a running train....

its neither official nor technical fault. Its the arrogant and callous fault of the Driver of Vellore bound train which rammed from behind on the stationery passenger train waiting for the signal. Is the driver of the vellore train is from South or North? since most of the drivers from South are Law abiding, especially, we have not come across any such freak accident in the near past.
The next of the dead have to be suitably compensated and it will be herculean task to find out the identity of the dead since they traveled in a passenger train with current booking ticket? also god knows out of the dead, how many were without tickets, since in most of the day trains and even super fast express, nearly 45% of passengers travel without ticket.

my point is its drivers fault in surpassing the signal. I didnt know, you are so dull. Ofcourse, Indian, you cannot expect much.

Are u not an Indian? And also why you are bringing north south division even in such issues. Most of the Indian railway accidents are happening due to humon error irrespective of thr responsible person's religion, caste, state etc. in this case the driver if found guilty should be dismissed and sent to jail
Since the southern indian railway headquarters is at Chennai, they take all new coaches and send all old dilapidated coaches to Kerala.Go and see the condition of coaches in trains kerala

If doggy singh, he will say it is the handiwork of RSS. Chidambaram will say Saffron terror. I do not know in the dead list, how may are from minority community since the train was bound for Vellore where the Minorities are the majorities.

Whenever a coach goes for maintanence to Chennai or TN they take it and most of bosses are in TN only, so our officers not complain. And the useless railway miniters etc have no idea about this.
But this accident is caused may be the driver of MEMU was drunk and ignored signal. Most of drivers are drunk. No checking of their health and most of them are doing overtime etc not getting leave.
All these teething problems are not at all addressed in Mamta regime or Lalu regime.

There is a chance that these damaged coaches can be seen in the passenger train between Manglore and Shornur with in a few days

nothing wrong. Have you ever seen the maintenance of the train coming from Kanyakumari or from Ernakulam? Filthy and Toilets are not kept clean and even there is no water in the toil to flush. You can see left over food packets on the top berth and empty liquor bottles strewn below the lower berth and in toilets. Even they flout the No Smoking warning.
Just see how the trains bound to Chennai from Madurai, Trichy, etc., are maintained both the railways as well as passengers. At Trichy, every toilet in all bogies are cleaned and water filled. Even the Junction is well maintained, including the tracks. Condition of platforms in Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Palghat are stinking and the tracks, by see, will vomit.

Taz ccoz Balan (a) Divine..... workers in Ker are always busy on strikes, where's the time to clean the coaches :D
When will the railways modernize and install anti-collision devices on trains? its pretty to stop a train that has run a red light. Especially on the electrified segments. There is no will to do anything proactive to prevent disasters. Look at the delay in setting up security camera even though advised by agencies in Delhi HC? we Indians are too lackadaisical about everything, including life and death. Passengers should sue Indian Railways for not taking preventive measures, instead of some idiot politician visiting and announcing compensation awards (which rarely get paid on time anyway).
