If the dad is adamant that a murder case must be opened, then why does he not supply the info he has to the police. Otherwise he should shut up and stop maligning the police. The injuries to one side indicate an accident. Parents of delinquent kids are quick to blame others for the shortcomings of their own children.
It does not require weeks to get details of calls made and received on a mobile ... The person who called him down at about 2 am or 3 am needs to explain.
Further why were eyewitness statement not taken seriously.
The mistake is partly on the boy too, going out alone at the odd hours. Parents must tell their children to be more disciplined. My sympathies for the parents.
