diplomatic agility with what?
by Ekalavyan Acharyan on Oct 24, 2011 07:52 PM  | Hide replies

India didn't support the libyan war.. on the other hand european and american war machines were in full action. Moreover, India abstained against Libyan resolution in UN as well Syrian. So, post-Gaddaffi its tough for any Indian companies to get anything. Diplomatic agility or anything for that sake is not going to help. Suck up to europeans and americans, you might get something. There is an economic crisis in these countries, so libyan gold and oil is very much needed by them to replenish their coffers.

I think India did what was right, but the other side of the coin is don't expect anything from Libya for a while.

Those invading and evil Western countries that bombed Libya into a third-world country, are financially broke.

by Pat Thakur on Oct 24, 2011 06:20 PM

After that, think of post gandi & kangress. Everything will be more frank & more open then, with Dynastism (a la Gandi style) having gone.....

No business now...

USA and its allies have made sure that the monopoly over the OIL business remains in the hand of them or their allies; and those who reject that will have to face the same fate as IRAQ or Libya;
India have no chance of getting into the OIL business when such competitors exist who can do anything including going to war for getting the OIL business;
