Kalpakkam nuclear reactor is not posing any radiation problems or polluting water- That too it was established before 20 years while kudankulam under russian technical support is almose nearing completion with latest technology- why christian missionaries and pasters are in agitation ? was it due to american CIA influence to thawart and stop russian possible nuclear co-operation once kudankulam become successful. Christians fathers and pasters leaving their churches unattended are participating in this agitation. Now deaf and dump P M dr.MMS is trying to line up a mumbai based bishop to persuade kanyakumar pastors to calm down and stop the agitation. This shows the influence of religious missionaries in such crucial efforts of goverment to reduce the power shortage.Because of sonia in top, this happens with the support of vatigan and america.

This swamy seems to be a ignorant nut. The locals around Koodankulam who are agitating are from the Paravar community (a Kshatriya clan who converted to Christianity around 500 years ago because of disgusting elements like this fool called swamy who do not want the Paravas to like in dignity) whose land was acquired for the project but not compensated. And worse still, the Paravar village of Idinthakari is just about a kilometre away from the nuclear plants. This fellow seems to be RSS brain-washed rut, who knows not the meaning of dignity and humanity of others.

They never sprang up overnight. They have been agitating since day one. Since it was never highlighted by the so-called national media as it was deemed a local thing the outside world didn't know much about it. And, for your kind info Mr Muthu, intha project MGR-Indira kaalathil thuvangaillai. Please check (if you had the time and patience you would get the info on the net itself). When the trial runs with dummy fuel commenced, the noise pollution in the villages around was so unbearable that they resorted to massive protest. Sitting on an arm chair without being even in the vicinity of ground zero, don't prejudge the affected.

support Jayalalithamma against nuclear reacor technology
by Raghavendra Bhat on Oct 20, 2011 11:55 AM

The proposed nuclear "farm" at Kundankulam will eventually contaminate the entire eastern coast of India, starting with Chennai and ending at
the mouth of the Ganga at Kolkatta, if runaway processes happen like in Japan. The entire Bay of Bengal area is brittle zone, it is known for its bio-diverse richness. A greedy Govt. will pollute this area in no time with a failed technology - nuclear reactors!

Support Jayalalithamma against these failed technologies of nuclear energy, support the local people in their struggle.

fears of the locals - is Environmental issue , delay in any project due to this issue shows either there are lack of specalist or people'S faith in them ,or lack of interest in desicion.Govt should specify about the reason and send notice to concern.or publish who is in loss coz of what ,sufferer must get the answer.just an opinion.

The people have started the protest almost when everything is over. They have no moral right. Secondly I see that some countries does not like such a project using conduits of Church and other organizations to rake up the issue and people think they will be compensated more. Expert group should give foolproof disaster system and let the project run. India is not Japan geologically.
