They should not be political agent of any party. They should remain neutral from politics. Their aim should be public issues rather on politics. If he become a political agent of any party then he may loose their respect.

These people are known as social activist, not as political agent

Against congress
by durai venkataraman on Oct 19, 2011 09:04 AM  | Hide replies

My observation is that the campaign is clear against congress. But the logic used by him is fantastic. Further he is capable of giving the message both in English and Hindfi to masses also very good. Even if the Govt. is passed Jan Lokpal bill in the Winter session, these guys will come out with another scape goat to attack congress. It is sure that they are going to do. Congrss is at the receiving end. Congress is going to pass the bills what Team Anna wants. It is the death of congress and birth of whatever bills Anna Team wants. It is a good tactics. If this is the destiny of both congress and Anna Team, we have to accept it.

Ur observation is incorrect. Why the party having majority cannot bring a strong lok pal bill and get it passed? Why it is dragging its feet and today people do not believe on it. At least it must tryout in all seriousness. Believe me if the party comes out with a strong anti corruption bill, it will become immortal. People will love the party and no one will be able to unseat. No party can dare to devitate from supporting the bill since they will be exposed and anna team will be enough to take care. By delaying the things congress is digging its own grave. Why straightaway manmohan singh can not talk publicly that all the points which anna has raised forms the discussion points in bill. Call special session of partiament for 1-2 days discuss and finish. I am also sure anna will itself support such a transformed party. But if the senior people in congress continue to repeat their mistake and delaying tactics they will bring it to doom. Sonia Ji , it is a wake up call else all the sacrifice you did in the past will go down the drain. Do not being personal prestige anna or no anna bring out bill plus some points of social reforms or make the points in phases please.
Anna team is very clear in their goals. Congress should also be very clear that the way anna people is fighting day is not far when they will be able to launch a new party which will come into power and no one will be able to come against corruption.

First of all we will have to understand how the parliament or legislative assemble is functioning for passing any bill. Whenever there is a bill, it is going to standing committee. Standing committee consists of so many parties where all of them have to give their 'yes' or 'no' for clause by clause. In order to pull down congress govt., one or two members of opposition parties in the standing committee may take considerable time to say 'yes' or 'no' to certain points. There is no law for them to say 'yes' or 'no' within such and such time. Once it is accepted then the Chairman of the standing committee will send the same to Parliament. Against there also all members of parliament are given the copy of the bill for going through and say 'yes' or 'no' to the points made by the standing committee. Here Team Anna has given a wrong notion that only Congress has to pass the bill. Further there are four version of Lokpal bill. Chairman should also get the consenses of those teams also. Further in the Lokpal Bill, CBI has to be out or in to be decided. Then they should also be consulted. Further in the Lokpal bill, judiciary to be in or to be out. This should also be consulted. Any ordinary bill, it takes atleast 6 to 12 months. Here with all these consultations, if they pass it within 3 months, it is well and good.

Kejriwal must oppose congress in general since it is the ruling party which can do all the things against correction. However if a candidate of congress who is quite honest and no corruption case is pending . anna party must support. This kind of selective approach could further improve the image of anna

Shoot a gun on Anna's shoulder

It is becoming more and more apparent that Kejriwal though he may be well intentioned and honest, is using Anna Hazare's shoulder to fire his own gun based on his own prejudices and personal agenda.

FIght against Corruption- apolitical approach
by Srinivasan Iyer on Oct 19, 2011 08:47 AM

It is really surprising that Kejriwal has given his own twist to the fight against corruption. It is true that there are some leading Coingress men in courts for corruption. Let the courts decide. There is no case against some other names taken by him while there are cases and allegations agaqinst certain prominent leaders of the opposition parties but he refrains from taking their names. His team have been silent on others from other parties who run corrupt GOvts and have scans as well as refuse to even appoint Lok Ayukths in their States. How can he say that they are apolitical and all corruption is only in one party! Does it mean their fight is anti Govt or anti corruption. Why do not form a proper organisation properly constituted and only give membership to those who take an oath that they have will fight corruption and have given a bribe and will never bribe anyone. THis will remove any allegation that Team Anna is pro any party or supported by some political parties or their affiliates. THis organistaion should start proper studies and reports with experts- legal and social activists- on electoral reform and other major issues which is the cause of an ineffective Parliament.
