when you can solve a family matter with consultation why you want the legal process to involve; do you want to ruin her family life?
If the husband agrees on his mistake what is the need for such action.

IT IS NOT A MERE FAMILY MATTER. If the fellow (or felon) beats up his wife or murders her, will it be a family matter?

Why only Teesta and Shabana etc? Why not you and your family members?Do you know that Purnea is the most backward area of Bihar? Politicians want to keep it dark because of their ulterior motives? Look if every one in India becomes self sufficient then who will run after the politicians? There is no role of land in it.So it is better if you do not criticize the land and rather work for upliftment of the down troddens. But it is not possible for us because we all waste our costly time and imagination abusing and criticising each other on rediff.
