FROM PAWAN K SHARMA - TV DEBATES AND ANCHOR -ROLE
by Pawan Sharma on Aug 29, 2017 09:36 AM

In India, the private channels reporting is full of faults. In the name of "independence and Freedom" they are cheating the public/viewers.
Any debate you choose - they simply shout without any provocation and main issues. The end result remains - a nonsense.
Role of anchors is totally dubious- full of errors. They are not allowing the participants to answer the question asked. But they force the participant to say - same words as the anchor is interested. The viewes feel over burdened with heavy head after the debate is over
This is eroding the credibility of media among viewers. Press council of India must move in this direction to controla nd re-direct to some dignified debates on channels.
This possibly started with Arnab Goswami and now followed by all. Shame on media reporting in the name of freedom.
Why not the media themselves appoint a core committee to review the whole situation????

Empty Excuses and Farce Coverups - Accountability is Essential
by Praveen Goud on Nov 11, 2011 01:07 AM  | Hide replies

We have several autonomous and independant institutions which are being constituted and members nominated by UNACCOUNTABLE Legislators and Judiciary itself. Neither Executive Heads like President and Governors too are not accountable. Maximum, they are being transfered or being given other posts with rest of couple of months. THis has to Change.

We have idiotic and unaccountable BAR COUNCIL in india. That institution has totally corrupted and made Indian Judiciary, a non-sense institution at LOWER COURTS and High Court, though Supreme Court is pretending to work lately.

We also had Medical Council, another corrupted institution, selling seats and colleges.

Not to mention, NEVER PRODUCTIVE and NONSENSE De#fense and Re#search Institutions in India. No one knows, what those employees do except taking pay cheques and exploiting LTA for visiting piligrimages. No output from those unproductive institutions by state control.

In India, with adequate, literacy, ignorace and poverty, Self-Imposed regulations, ethics and conducts WILL NEVER WORK till cent percent literacy and awareness among citizens to question.

Without Right to Recall, Mandatory Education and Mandatory Voting with electoral reforms, all will be FUTILE and DECEPTIVE tactics only.

Hollow theory
by Bharat on Nov 10, 2011 07:32 PM

1. Media is supposed to self regulated, not is.

2. If PCI is supposed to only issue guidelines and has no authority to enforce them and there is no monitoring mechanism, why should PCI exist in first place?

3. Is it ethical journalism to publish only speculations and self views and not NEWS?

4. Is it ethical publish distorted NEWS, withhold factual NEWS?

5. Is it ethical for the Media to indulge in corruption?

6. Who are the owners of Indian Media today?

7. Some journalists indulged and exposed in central ministry portfolio allocation but none of them were put under investigation and comfortably continued in their jobs. Is this self regulation?
