The Missionaries do nothing free. It is now proved by indian police that they have received money from abroad to agitate against Russion Technology. NGO's working in this regard were promoted by missionaries for vested interest

Easiest solution is to set up an American nuclear power reactor very near to Kudankulam.

It is better to build mini Nuclear Plants in each house and produce electricity from it.

If such a scheme comes everybody will go for renewable energy.

Many well to do people never use microwave oven because of its harmful effects.

You can't thrust something dangerous on poor people.

Every people has a right to protest if public toilet is built next to their house.

The other planned Nuclear Power Plants and Nuclear Power Plants c
by Kumar on Jan 30, 2012 05:01 AM

10 Nuclear Power Plants have been Planned in Koodankulam. 1 plant has been completed. Another 1plant work has started. So totally these 2 plant only can be allowed in Koodankulam. The other planned Nuclear Power Plants and Nuclear Power Plants can be shifted 2 each to Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Orissa, Chattisgarh, Jharkand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh etc. For example in states many available lakes or artificial lakes created slight diversion of Rivers are available in Uninhabited/Less Inhabitated Areas and many Inland Nuclear Power Plants; like USSR, USA, Europe, Rajasthan etc. Also 80 to 90 % Power should be given to these respective states where Nuclear power is generated, since they take the risk of Nuclear Problems. Also the People residing around say 20 to 30 Kms should be given Minimum Rs.1 Crore for rehabilitation (House, Employment etc) for Ordinary workers and Many amount more for those who have more properties.

Catholic priests should never involve in protests
by brian crasto on Dec 17, 2011 11:40 AM  | Hide replies

I am a Catholic and would request priests to avoid any confrontation with the Government. As priests they are supposed to serve the community and any confrontation would invite ire from the general public. Whether it is nucleur projects, land grabbing, corruption, it is not the priest duty to protest. But in a democratic country they can give their views and let the people decide whats best for them They have to follow what it is written in the Gospel. The Cardinal had also requested the priests to detist from protesting against the nuclear projects. Hope good sense prevail

It is no crime to protest, nor a crime to secretly support a business opponent. However in this practically illiterate country, educated people have to think on behalf of the others.

Is there any feasible alternative to nuclear power ?

Dependence on foreign oil has made India helpless before foreign pressures, which would be very important during the inevitable wars with Pakistan and China.

Nuclear fission power alone is the alternative. Solar electricity is yet to become feasible.

The protests are misguided and ulterior motives are behind them.

Rediff to clarify why they make such broad-based blanket statements.

It is the CATHOLIC priests only ... and NOT ALL the Christians, who are playing politics.
