Travelling on the roof of the trains
by khemaji Bheel on Nov 13, 2011 08:37 PM

Another death trap is travelling on the roof of the trains during the festive season. Fatal accidents in the past do not make any improvements. Railway authorities are muke spectators of these fatal accidents . Recently the candidates travelling on the roof of the train for appearing in competitive examinations were killed in U.P. Why the Railyway is allowing passengers to travel on the roof top. No where else ( except Bangaladesh, Pakistan, India, some countries in Africa) roof travelling is allowed. It is a common sight at Indore during festive seasons.

Let the Uttarakhand Government and organisers be booked for loss of innocent lives for organising such huge crowds for their vested interests without adequate arrangements.

Restrictions must be imposed
by Virendra Patel on Nov 13, 2011 04:57 PM

The time has come to enfore very strict Health and Safety regulations. Overcrowding in busses, trains, weddings, funerals and all other public and private events and ceremonies will be deemed illegal and risk to health and safety and security issues and concerns. Many people outside India consider our country a country a death trap.

Wrong to say that it happens in all religious places. It happens mostly in hindu temples. Any event should have event managers! Should not leave everything to fate.

Crowd management is absent at most of the places!!!!Stampede should not be related to any religion nor any particular country, wherever mismanaged crowd is there ,any impulse to run will cause stampede!!!!!
The difference is that elsewhere control measures may be taken BUT in INDIA the where the Government is not bothered even about Terror attacks ,it least expected that they will do something about stampedes!!
