Vacuous statements by a councillor isnt representative of general permissive pakistan sentiment toward other religions. Also nothing positive can be construed from this Pakistan action, first it was only at the courts order that the temple was opened, second Hindus are in such a low minority that opening a temple for a few hundred Hindus to congregate isnt any headache for the state. I would bet that Pakistan state would make sure that the temple is closed for all if any fleeting mention of rise of religious feelings under the temple collective is mentioned in public. There goes the religious freedom. Remember the fate of poor Salman Taseer???

fact is that in islam there is no lpace for other thoughts/ rituals. Even a blind can read nd sense but unforunately indians are worst than the blind
The Hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh are strugling and rediff is doing a good job in bringing up the pain that the Hindus are going through in these places.
the work which cannot be done by Goverment is done by judiciary in India or Pakistan. I think the judiciary should take over the running of Government in both the countries. 'Believe' it will better than the so called 'Loktantra'
The building looks like collapsing any time..any day, this will be the practice ground for shooting by Taliban. You go to this temple at your own peril.. Maybe good talking for Pakistan government .. but it is no more than that. Why Rediff should waste their time in publishing such news? Taliban are not willing to accept their own Muslims who do not agree with them .. this building is doomed to fall, just like the statues of Buddha in Afghanistan.
Decision is good but too late. will any body accepts it is temple.what is there in the temple construction,it is about to fall and more over who will maintain the temple in Pakistan. It is not a big news.
Somw philonthrophists in Indai and pakistan should undertake renivation of temple and resort it to its glory. I on my part is ready to make my humble contribution for any such initiative and sure more would join.
