I would suggest to the Kerala Catholic Church to ask for the withdrawal of the Dictionary
A major section of the christians in Kerala appears to have rebuffed the appeal (subtle or not so subtle) of their bishops to vote en masse for the UDF. This was very unlike the musalmans who voted like a herd of goats for the Muslim League, an UDF partner ! Rahul's Congress was effectively beaten even in victory by VS Achuthanandan, the tallest leader in Kerala today.
And the BJP shrunk back to its miserable share of 6 % of the votes. Its leaders are again being accused by its own party workers of selling a section of its votes to the UDF !
Pity that the caste organisations such as SNDP and the NSS too tried to herd their flocks into voting against the left !
It was a truly remarkable fight by the VS led left front this time. The hindu caste orgs SNDP and the NSS, the Muslim League and the church (especially the syrian churches) were all ranged in perfect 'cross-communal' solidarity against the anti-corrupt stance of the VS govt. They had the staunch support of the most vile elements of the Malayalam media such as the 'Malayala Manorama' for their efforts.
And yet, the 'Ooommmaaan Chandy' govt. and his knave friends could just scrape through !
It was only the stupid musalmans who voted in such large numbers and tilted the balance in favour of the UDF !
TheNairs were traditionalWarriors and it was not so easy to subjugate them. They had fought tooth and nail with Tippu and his troop and it was Tippu who had to flee fromPalghat, ticking tail between legs, never to return to Malabar till his death at the hands of theBritishers.
He was typical warlord of that time. He was fighting with theZamorins ofCalicut, NizamOfHyderabad, Marathas and theBritishers also.

At Last,Kerala people decided that 72-68. Saying that enough communal and community influence in Govt.

Have they finalized the number of ministers? What happened to the demand of MuslimLeague and KeralaCongress for one more minister each?
