One way this approach is correct for number of reasons: 1. India is not a super-power. It has to mobilise global support to its cause. 2. World has just begun to believe that pak is a devil nation. India has to make use of the situation and exert immense pressure thro' world community to nab the terrorists who are hiding as rats in Pak.

Some people just love to criticise the government, especially if it is Congress. I'm no fan of Congress but i think as far as foreign policy is concerned, Congress handles it much better than BJP. I completely endorse the view that we must resort to covert actions and assasinations inside Pakistan. These things should be done intelligently and not in a hot headed manner.

That would require us to retrain our army. After watching our commandos operate @ Akshardham and Mumbai, I am convinced we are fooling ourselves (misplaced patriotism) that india can do what the US Navy Seals did. They are highly trained and we are kidding ourselves if we think we can do the same. India needs to train hard and get rid of the class oriented culture in our Army....the officers are busy partying with their glasses of whiskey...we have the money and means..we just need the culture / discipline...

We don't have to "ask" others to put pressure. The evidence will speak for itself. Nobody wants a "rouge" country (or it's spy agency) to have a free run, especially when they are also targetting western countries, jews, christians, etc.

I'm not saying everything our government is doing is correct. However, instead of thinking in term of retaliation, think in terms of what is in India's interest. I agree we must put curbs on cricket, but maybe putting curbs on artists may not be such a good idea. I also, feel we MUST resort to covert acts inside Pakistan, including sabotage and assasinations of the terrorists there, if it is not being down now.

The moral of my question was whether our diplomats are smart enough to create international pressures. I doubt on our foreign minister, as he is too much innocent. Nowhere I am seeing his comments since a long time. It seems whether we have the foreign minister or not. There is no sign of pro activeness from our side.

Pakistan is in a big mess. There is a lack of sensible leadership in Pakistan to guide the country out of the mess it is in. There is no long term vision.
They fear (and hate) India because of 1971. What do they think? BY resorting to terrorist acts it will force India to collapse or to buckle down? What is the end game of this confrontationist attitude of Pakistanis? Maybe they think in the end all will be forgiven and forgotton by India. But will that take away the years lost by Pakistan in building it's economy? After all, it's the economy (that counts), stupid!
