This may sound significant to you but don't go over the rooftop. This victory has not gone down well with the religious mercenary from 10 Janpath & her gang of goons. They've already started hatvhing conspiracies to undermine & finish her. How can they tolearte Hindu victory?

by digant pathak on May 19, 2011 10:57 AM

The states where Hindus are minority, they must be given minority status by the Government. After all Hindus deserve the rights simillar to other religion for being minority in these states.

Changes in Kashmir
by Ajay Kaul on May 19, 2011 09:48 AM  | Hide replies

I am a kashmiri hindu and I have just returned from Kashmir after visiting the valley and my home after 21 years. I was very much afraid to visit my home after such a long time. When I reached my home every one welcomed me. Many people came to meet me immediately. It was surprising to see that nothing much has changed as for as people are concerned.First night was horrible for me at my home remembering the horror of 1990 when we had left our home saving our lives. Today's commom Kashmiri's have nothing to do with the kashmir problem. They have come to know the reality of Pakistan and they very well know that it is better to be with the rising India than the drowning Pakistan. People have become well educated especially in villages (I visited many villages) and business has flourished. It is only politics which is ruining the atmosphere in Kashmir. No doubt there are some people who do not want the situation to improve because that deos't suit them. In today's Kashmir commom people want peace, education, employment and nothing else. Now it is upto the Government of India to deal with situation with care and avoid any further turmoil in the beautiful valley of Kashmir.

dear Mr. Kaul the kashmir problem neither was nor is a communal or a hindu muslim issue its a political problem which india need to address and fulfill the promise of pelbicite. Peace can be achieved in the whole sucontinent inclding kashmir once UN resolutions which india signed are implemented. Please donot give a pak angle to the kashmir problem which indian media is doing since long. Kashmir was is should remain a independent country as it was before 1947 before the indian occupation and this is a international view.
Regarding kashmiri pundits. Kashmiri pandits are a confused community. They want the paradise without performing any good deed. They are lost between the commercial priorities of progressive India, and beautiful weather of the paradise which has emerged as a hell. They want to live in Kashmir but does not want give up charity offered to them through financial aids, other social and educational aids. The sad part is that they are used by agencies as a tool to defame the resident Kashmiris, and unfortunately this wise community behaves like fools.

@isha no genocide was done in kashmir the govt of india figures show only 173 kashmiri pundits lost their life untill now in the 21 year long conflict, What happened in gujrat was genocide where thousands of muslims where killed in a pre planned manner in coordination with CM, Police and administration.
I am a kashmir muslim and whole world know jagmohan played importeant part in getting pundits out for few "weeks" so that muslim population can be handled by iron fist. Please do not make innocent indians anymore fool and do not polorize indians.
No one in kashmir forced u to go out, there are some criminal elements in each society so are in kashmir they played a role in those troubled times , but please do not defame kashmiri muslims. Leave the charities of the "Progressive " india and come to live with us u r welcome always.

It has been made out that elections of Kashmir Pandit to panchyat was big issue….Kashmiri Pandits have often represented Muslim majority assembly and parliament seats in Kashmir Valley in past. Just to refresh memory from 1971 to 1985, the so called hotbed of militancy Sopore had a Panidt Avtar Kishan Ganjoo as chairman of Town Area Committee. And what about Payera Lal Handoo and others, who elected them to assemblies……
