Choosing the right candidate require below things - 1) Information about all the aspiring candidates. 2) Not having blind bias toward any party which led to victory for a wrong person fighting under the banner of some favorite political parties. 3) Clear understanding about the mani-festo of all the parties fighting the electoral battle. 4) Understanding their economic agenda and its impact. 5) Judgement on how much the parties will stick to their manifesto.
Almost all the Indian don't bother about collecting all the information about the parties and candidates. Almost all the Indians are less bothered about economic agendas and party manifesto.
We are so blind to our favorite party (though favorite party changes time-to-time rightly or wrongly) that if that party field wrong, incompetent or even criminals we tend to elect the wrong person.
Simple neither all of us has the maturity, non-bias judgement or knowledge on economy to fulfill our democratic right.
LIKE CANDIDATE SHOULD BE SOME ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA SIMILARLY VOTERS SHOULD BE HAVE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA APART FROM AGE.
politically motivated criminal cases against each other is quite common in WB. Further those who are involved in student politics know that..since early days you slap each other with criminal cases..so dont lose sleep over WB ...all are criminals here.

Hi everybody We should vote against criminals in elections irrespective of party. Nowadays its easy to campaign against criminals through electronic media. Such a massive online response for Anna hazare is a welcome one. Though we cannot go publicly against criminal candidates, online anticampaign can change the Indian politics in future
As everybody know government has incresed the price of petrol, but only few people knoe that rates for Avaition fuel has been dropped by Government. It means that Upper class will fly on money of lower class. Most amazing factor is that MEDIA never raised this issue. There are other ways by which the loss can be makeup to the petroleum sector like reducing the taxes, but cares for Normal COMMON MAN Only GOD CAN SAVE? only god can
We voted for those criminals to power. But we had an option to choose among two criminals and we done it. Joseph Marie de Maistre said: "Every country has the government it deserves."
