Since when has the Border Security Force come under the wings of Raksha Mantaralya (Defence Ministry), if the the name board (out side South Block)as depicted in your story, is indicative of the same ? And how do you use pictures of women oficer cadets of the Army passing out from Officers Training Academy, Chennai, in a news item dealing with the para military forces which are dealt by the Home Ministry (in North Block) Sure you need to be more careful, or is it pure ignorance? Why should women be placed in such dangerous places in the first place ? They could be employed in other professions.

come on... stop bullshitting. nobody forced them to borders. if they dont find the job comfortable, they should leave it and find something that suits them. it is true for you, me, your wife and my wife.
stop glorifying a profession just because it is fashionable. ur comment is like if farmers stop producing, India will go to bed hungry. If one set of men (and women) dont want to guard the borders, some others will be happy to do it. If no one else is, work conditions and remuneration must be made attractive. It is as simple as this.
armed forces and paramilitary forces are not holy cows. they need to be under the ambit of public scrunity as much the same way as all other public servants are. This kind of autonomy and non-questioning attitude is the sole reason that we have an absolutely porous border along bangladesh. What is the use of crying about demographic changes when BSF personnel let in scores of illegal immigrants for cash and free sex.
