If they remain united, DMK will really come back to power. Jayalalitha will surely give them such opportunity. Her past tenures in Office definitely does not inspire much confidence for Tamil people. DMK may now seem down and out, but with Jayalalitha at the helm anything is possible. Like Karunanidhi, Jayalalitha too will do all that she can to bring DMK back to power in the State. Ofcourse, for all this to happen, DMK should remain united.

DMK will come back to power, there is no doubt in it. Jayalalithaa will be ditched by the same people who brought her to victory. Jaya is a demon, she is arrogant lady with no care for the masses. Just see what she has been doing after coming to power. She increased the taxes on almost all item. Now her attention will be on increasing the bus fare. She will not leave a single item. I am not a supporter of DMK either, but the fact is Jaya's own wrong decisions will bring back DMK.
Reason 2 in the list states that the "scam which was worth a whopping Rs 176 lakh crore". The CAG estimate of the loss is 1.76 lakh crore and not 176 lakh crore
#1 reason was and still is: betraying the EElam Tamil- as the UN report says 40,000 - 100,000 innocent Tamils were masacred by the Sinhala Budhist war monger under their nose. As those atrocities were happenning Thety were partying together with the Congress. DMK's partners Congress contessted 60 seats and just managed to win only 5 seats. It was a clear message to them from the TN voters.

That is true and now, it is clear that the party that go with Congies would be defeated in Tamilnadu. Congies have become untouchable in Tamilnadu for being part of the genocide that was committed in Lanka by the SinHellese chauvinist rajapakse. The best way to get ride of this crime is to punish them and help Eelam Tamil to live in their own county.
Last time,it was DMK and this time, it is ADMK. Preceding DMK, earlier, it was again ADMK,when preceding it,it was DMK.Hence there is always a See-Saw Battle between DMK and ADMK.Either, people of Tamil Nadu are mature enough to inv oke anti-incumbency factor or large hearted enough to give both the parties a chance to loot on an alternative basis.Long Live Indian Democracy.

you got both are corrupt, but people get jealous of wealth, and nothing is more tempting then gold to a South Indian.
But officially now DMK is not the main opposition party, there is an new party.

but this is the greatest defeat the DMK has faced in 20 years. The last time it faced such a defeat was in 1991.

it is just a wave; 1991-rajiv killing,2011-2g scam. This elections 2014 DMk will do better than 2011 if they do not join with congress
[1] Its Electricity Power Cut. That has huge tolls in Small and Mid Sized Business across TN. and its a main factor why the middle classes and middle aged outside Chennai, voted against DMK
[2] For Youths and First Time Voters, Eeelam Tamil Issue and the #TNFisherMan Issue are the major thing. They turned out massively this time to vote against DMK.
[3] Overtaking of Businesses by DMK Partmen across the state has its effect, but minimal
2G Scam may be making waves in Urban, but, common man bothers least about it and it is definitely not a game changer. For a comman man, bribe-demanding govt.officers that he face everyday bothers a lot than these executive level corruption.

If so, why the elam supporters like Ramadoss and Thiru failed to capitalize. Eelam is not a major issue.
