Holding Majority has no Meaning now
by Bigtribe on May 18, 2011 11:06 AM  | Hide replies

Karnataka's BJP govt's claim of holding majority legislatures or number means nothing now... as they are illegally occupying the assembly. Was a mistake, and costly one. CM has no right to remain there. Has absolutely no morality. Are there tall leaders in BJP in the national level? Better change the CM to reconsolidate the numbers....else resign and seek fresh election.

How do you know that the MLAs who were disqualified were wanting to vote against BSY?
After all, the HC while rejecting the appeal to let the Disqualified MLAs vote in the second vote of confidence did state that the Disqualified MLAs voted would be allowed to be taken into count once the court settles the case. Now, let the MLAs vote, after the count, we will debate who has the right & who does not.

BJP is more united than before.....
by channa sr on May 18, 2011 01:20 AM

JDS n cong leaders and their foreign hand gave them support to dislodge the govt in last october. Once, BSY showed majority in assembly. Opposition distanced from the BJP rebels and JDS bosses might have given checks which bound to bounce. Now, rebels either they can speak or keep quiet. These all drama could be framed & scripted by JDS cunning ajja and is beremane haaal maado makluu & produced and assisted by Sonu madam. I support party minus corrupt.

Frequent rebellious attack on BJP ruled states by Congress
by Anirudh n on May 17, 2011 07:46 PM

As a political observer, I find that whenever there is a crisis in the Congress, they used to attack BJP ruled states making govt. instable. For e.g. after recent election in 5 states and some set-back and in some state neck to neck fight with opposition and unwilling allies Congress party want to divert attention and make opposition busy on to save their own govt. rather than concentrating other govt. This is usually adopting Congress party since many years. BJP on the other hand failed to function as an effective opposition by taking up peoples issue and constant engagement with the people as there seems to be a leadership crisis and directionless. To take up any agenda, NDA struggling and need more preparation. Failed as a better organization and creating better movement against corruption from grass root level and every leader in BJP fear something. Yeddurappa govt. should have highlight the problem of people and the recent petro hike, corruption and other issues and failure of centre and congress party (UPA) to make uncomfortable to face next election and onus of responsibility need to put on centre and governance failure. Once that is done in BJP ruled states systematically and continuously without any break. Again they can win back with thumbing majority. Regional leader should concentrate more on local and other issues and central leadership should give free hand at the hands to the leaders to handle better before calling frequently to Delhi.

Shrewedness of Congress Chemchas
by swami pudipeddi on May 17, 2011 04:19 PM

The same people who oppose Article 356 were there when Mr.Buta Singh recommended dissoltuion fo Bihar Assembly even before the newly elected Members took oath and the President of India who was camping in Russia was troubled to sign the declaration in the wee hours. Although it was cursed initially it proved to be a boon JD(U) BJP which came to power without any doubts and repeated again with an impressive win of more seats by BJP than in the earlier elections. On what legitimacy this happened and what Mr.Manish Tiwari states for this action. If the judgment of supreme court is also published in the news media then one can understand what they stated. How a High Court can go wrong on interpretation of the provisions of anti defection law and justify the action taken by the Speaker? What exactly the SC meant. Did it mean that the rebels should be allowed to vote against the Govt.? or did it say that they should be given an opportunity of being heard? Their action fully justified their disqualification as per the provisions fo the Anti Defection law. When NDA was in power and DMK was a part of it exerted lot of pressure to dismiss Ms.J L Govt. of Tamil Nadu but the Govt. did not succumb to its pressure. It also did not pull out because of the ongoing medical treatment of Mr.Maran. Left Parties change their version as they like. When they were supporting UPA I they never bothered to protest price rise of petrol and other petroleum products but now they are making protests for

The loser & joker Prakash Karat has a view on this matter, as if he or his party has any numbers in the Parliament to influence any decision. That clown should face the reality & get ready to face Mamata too instead of barking from a five star hotel

Governor's Cat & Mouse game should stop.
by aloke mukherjee on May 17, 2011 11:30 AM

I donot find any justification of Governor Mr.Bharadraj action, asking Centre to disslove Karnataka govt.Governor should see that whether the goverment of Karnataka is running smoothly & peacefully and ae per Supreme court judgment may maximum ask Mr Yedpa to have a floor test. But instead of this he is playing Cat & Mouse game as if he is a suprem king in this democratic state. This is rediculas.Congress at Centre if they are interested to wipe corruption from India must act boldly to give a appropriate decision of not dissolving the BJP goverment in Karnataka. As a normal citizen of Indian democracy this is my view.
