THE COMMUNISM WE SAW HAS NO HUMANITY
by Indian Ullu on May 15, 2011 09:26 PM

Rather the 'samyabad ' of Indian philosophy
has got a greater thought as men are considered 'abodes of GOD'
With that idea men are treated
Therefore there is heaven and hell difference !
But these communists IMPORTED WESTERN THOUGHTS
WHICH PROMISE MANY THINGS BUT CANR DO!
SELFLESNESS IS LACKING IN THE COMMUNISTS -
A BASIS FAULT !
THEY CANT OVERCOME IT AFTER A PRACTICE OF 'ULTA' THINGS!
LET THEM QUIT FOR EVER!

Mr Achutanandan was dismissed from politburo. His success is no relief for the manifesto trained ideologues. Their rout is complete.

The communist ideology is now blissfully dead. Most of the followers, even amongst their party cadre would reject communist thought outright as hate based ethos, if ever they come to know the details of it.

Yet, Left made eminent sense earlier because the bhadralok intelligentsia all over the country, the ones who earlier identified with British, European and Russia left in 1930s, 1940s and early 1950, sympathized with the straitjacketed Communist leadership for being incorruptible and a bulwark against pro-Pak inclination of US led West.

These underlying realities have changed now. Market economy and democracy are mutually compatible approaches. If you accept the premise of market economy then the manifesto got to be rejected, the politburo got to be dissolved. Sans this intellectual integrity it is simply impossible for the bhadralok intelligentsia to ever comeback to sympathise with communists. The stance of good behaviour, responsible opposition can not cover the distance needed to win over the gentlemen.

the assumption that communism ended is most likely mythical. but in the present form it has taken a dip. but mind you these types of course corrections almost every ideology has taken. Also it is incorrect to identify communism with the failed leaders is not good. the leaders failed but not the ideology.

if you see many of the highly liberal and market economies are failing one after another (and as an irony the pro socialist countries like India china and brazil are keeping pace in market economy).
There was a long pending correction needed in the communism of India, an absolute review and many of the stalwarts should take rest for now.

the common man has voted the left off power only in Bengal (the party managed to put up a decent figure in Kerala electios), so it all depends whethere mamata does a Nitish in a much more complex scenario and whether left moulds to a re-boot.

Ratheesh,

We need to distinguish between Left and Communist manifesto based ideology which politburo presently swears by. Like Humpty Dumpty they can not be put together again.

With their exit from governance we now have a broad nationwide consensus on market economy and even index of unity in foreign policy has become higher.

We can now look forward to double digit growth rates for years ahead and sensible market economy reforms which will make our economy more competitive.

Left parties ruled Bengal since 1977 due to the land reforms they implemented.
In India's dummy democracy, land reforms and industrialization cannot go together.
Mamata aptly utilized the opportunity via Nandigram & Singur agitations.
Mamata will be a disaster for WB.

Time to learn, But will they ?????
by KRISHNAN on May 15, 2011 06:15 PM

It is the time for CPM Leaders to make an examination of their conscience . Time to learn . But will they ?? . In principle it is called Poor people party which fights for the cause of poor and downtrodden community irrespective of caste /creed and Religion. After 34 long years of ruling in WB, will they could uplift the standard of living of the people ? For vote banks they gave shelter to thousands of Bangladeshis ,now most of them turned Maoists and became pain in the ass of CPM itself. In Kerala, the Party exists only becoz of one veteran leader and a lone fighter, Sakhav V S. It was actually the one man show of VS in the recently held elections. Most of their leaders are corrupt from top to bottom. One branch /area secretary is making at least Rs 1lac in a month as bribe . With the huge funds and deposits of the Party the Polit Beauro Members are really enjoying , leading luxurious life in the name of the Poor and downtrodden. The Party has gone away from the ordinary people . The party don’t care the people. The party thinks that Party is big and not the people. With the arrogant attitude of the few leaders in Kerala, many have left CPM. Having said all these I am a supporter of the left then the corrupt Congrss
