The suicide in Dubai is a very natural reaction...
by jaggu on May 13, 2011 10:35 PM  | Hide replies

In dubai there are two core problems:
1) SLAVERY : The Indian workers who built Dubai all these years were never actually paid anything because of arbitrary laws and excess fines.
2) SPECULATION: Those who invested in DUBAI real estate are very SUICIDE PRONRE - including Hollywood stars.

Try to understand the main cause for the 'slavery' you mentioned. It is because of over-population in India. As long as population of India remains the same, this migration and 'slavery' will continue.

Overpopulation is a big myth. On the other hand population is asset which allows public & infrastructure services to break even.

It is the presence of a black cloud called communists which causes Kerala to depend on Dubai.

I read all responses except those deleted by the moderator.Indian culture, and mental make up of individuals are so evident.Pre-set attitude.
The man is an Indian
He is a Malayali
He was tortured by his employer
He lives in shanty
He was not sanctioned leave after 1 or 2 years
He went to Dubai to become the ruler, and his dream was shattered
All muslim countries must employ only muslims
He wanted to form a trade union and his neighbour wanted to oppose it
He wanted liquor and he had to travel 2 hrs,2 days, or 2 weeks
One wants to know how his name.
other ask, if he called and told him?
One thinks the Indian suicide average is far better than Dubai. So Khalifa is not important.
Politicians must fly out to Dubai and do the same
What about financial compensation by Federal and State government?
He must be a farmer, member of a displaced family whose land was taken for road widening.
Or is he from Jaitapur/

Dirty Dubai
by thinkingaloud on May 11, 2011 01:29 PM  | Hide replies

Dubai is the dirtiest place to work in. They harass employees & don't give them basic human rights. They make them work like slaves for 10-14 hours a day. Many are denied their weekend offs too. At the end of term they harass them by withholding their passports. Negotiations in salaries are never done through fair means; often its done by holding back their passports. Now after working like slaves for almost 1 or 2 years and when one is denied a vacation often people are left in extreme depression and in such times some may even resort to extreme steps.

Its suggested to all that not to get into this employment trap of Nations in middle-east. Its a racist land which gives more preference to the color of passport and most importantly to religion. Only thing which might help is currency rates; but that is only to those who work in high posts not to commoners.

Also do not get carried away by tall buildings. In Dubai shanties grow vertically upwards, with each room accomdating 14-15 people and each flat accomodating about 70 people.

This is true,Any one who REFUSE TO believe this, please go there on tourist visa, and go round places like Al Qoose etc, and interact with the mass Indians. Who ever experiences this will never eat food peacefully ever after, so much bad are the situation.
