laden osama
by asid on May 09, 2011 05:06 PM

It’s increasingly clear that the operation was a planned assassination, multiply violating elementary norms of international law. There appears to have been no attempt to apprehend the unarmed victim, as presumably could have been done by 80 commandos facing virtually no opposition—except, they claim, from his wife, who lunged towards them. In societies that profess some respect for law, suspects are apprehended and brought to fair trial. I stress “suspects.” In April 2002, the head of the FBI, Robert Mueller, informed the press that after the most intensive investigation in history, the FBI could say no more than that it “believed” that the plot was hatched in Afghanistan, though implemented in the UAE and Germany. What they only believed in April 2002, they obviously didn’t know 8 months earlier, when Washington dismissed tentative offers by the Taliban (how serious, we do not know, because they were instantly dismissed) to extradite bin Laden if they were presented with evidence—which, as we soon learned, Washington didn’t have. Thus Obama was simply lying when he said, in his White House statement, that “we quickly learned that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by al Qaeda.” Nothing serious has been provided since.

Hafiz rauf ilyas Dawood all in pakistan. you know pak knows US knows. Osama was hiding but these people are roaming freely. When US can take osama without the third man's knowledge is it so difficult to get these guys. If you feel the being a fool is your birth right believe US.

Why kill OBL?
by French Cuisine on May 08, 2011 11:06 PM  | Hide replies

Lot of people in Pak are crying out about their "sovereignty" being fractured. Some Indian commentators too have said it is a violation of their sovereignty. Cant understand how these people have any sympathy for Pakistan at all.
The only problem I have with this US operation is that they killed Laden. They should have arrested him. There was little resistance from the people there, so why did they kill him? A person of this stature should have been taken alive.

He killed the innocent lives of World Trade Centre and also the innocent people boarded on flights. Apply the same logic to Bin Laden and Al-Qeada in taking hostages of World Trade Center or flights.

Osama Bin Laden deserves the death in public rather than easing into dead sea.

Remember that he was a CIA agent, what is done with runaways, and tommorow if he is demanded by Russians for trying him for the crime he has committed against russians....

Even LTTE Prabhakarn was sponsored and what happened ultimately, we all know.

Osama with CIA or against KGB is same old "enemy of enemy is a friend".

Osama used the training, amunition and network he developed during US against Russia encroachment of Afghanistan. Now, he used the same training and network to hit at USA itself on name of Islam which backfired.

If Osama was purely CIA agent and would like to blackmail USA or present some facts that hurts American interests, he would have released those details to Al-Qeada or Islamic followers when he was alive.

If Osama Bin Laden reappears again, no one in this world will take USA, Pentagon, CIA or Al-Jazeera seriously. They will become laughing stock.

Please understand that Osama is not dead in this abottabad operation. Either he is dead (killed by US) long back. are still alive. This will be exposed. But they will not become laughing stock. They know how to make the world believe. Immediately they will start a new attack on Islam. People will start to go behind them again. But the result is in front of you.

Now netizen population are increasing who will demand transparency and accountability for every action from state including USA as it has spread its roots like Roman Empire.

Even, if USA or Pentagon gives a different screen play saying that, it was a strategic and intelligence tactic, it will become a laughing stock with the world wide attention and acclaim it got with this operation.

My only doubt here is. USA SEAL operation took only 4 hours in finishing the entire operation right from installing their spies and commandos, killing and collecting the dead bodies with some arrests.

Within 4 hours, how can they finish all these works including collecting hard drives, literature and some other huge information which CIA is taking weeks and months to study?.

4 hrs operation is misleading along with huge build up of operation including collection of information.

Am also waiting to see CIA new twist coming days to attach all these dots to decide whether to watch or not Hollywood movie on Osama Bin Laden death.

Zawahiri Surrenders Himself?.
by PETA on May 08, 2011 10:55 PM  | Hide replies

What if , Zawahari surrenders himself to CIA voluntarily?.

Will USA still kill Zawahari and ease him into Dead Sea or Black Sea?. Is it possible to prevent Zawahari easing him to Dead Sea like done with Osama Bin Laden?.

He will be killed immediately and the truth will come out. Pretending surrender jawahary pulled a riffle from his underwear. Brave US commandoes acted swiftly and killed jawahary. A lot of terror material cache was uneaarthed from his underwear and there are 25 more terrorists are staying in the pak and they crossed LOC now in kashmir any time they can attack India. Then this rediff forum will become active.

Out of 5 most wanted Al-Qaeda terrorists, Al-Qaeda should make one terrorist surrender voluntaritly himself in their local country. Let the local country address the extradition formalities if exists or interrogate in local country itself. USA will not allow its citizens to be interrogated by other countries unless it has extradition treaty with that country.

You don't need drone attack. Satellite and spy robots are adeqate for these third world citizens.

For least expensive, if you give 10% blood money or bribes or aid of F16 can buy ISI officials or Army officials itself. They are already sold. If not, why would they give shelter to non-pakistani Osama take shelter in Pakistan, or allow marry their own pakistan ladies like goats for reverse dowry?.

Peter's Principles applies to terror networks also
by Ujwala Kulkarni on May 08, 2011 08:31 PM

Unbeknown to himself, B Hussain Obama, is doing a great deal of harm to his cause. Over a period of time any organization gets clogged at the top with incompetent people bereft of new ideas that keep pace with the changing times. Their only claim to greatness is their past record. They stifle enthusiasm of youngsters. A successful organization is that offers VRS to such people often with astronomical severance packages. What is true of other organizations is also true of terror networks.

By exterminating people (for the crimes they might have committed eons ago), who have reached a steady state with the environment, US is only providing opportunity to young blood.
