Aug 1, 2011, Kuwait:

Four Indians from AP were shot dead, by a police official in Kuwait, just minutes before the Iftar. All the four victims are natives of Andhra Pradesh. The shooter had allegedly killed the workers for eating before Iftar. The local cops have said that the shooter was suffering from some mental illness. Two of deceased have been identified as T. Naresh Kumar from Kadapa and N. Ramanaih from Chittoor. Their Indian passports and death reports have been handed over to the Indian embassy by the Kuwait Police. The embassy in turn has informed the families of the victims in India. Another victim, M. Obulareddy, is from Andhra Pradesh as well. Though the details of the fourth victim are still being verified, it is believed he also hails from the state. Migrants Rights Council, a philanthropist organisation working for the rights of the migrants in that country, told this correspondent that Naresh hails from Naguvarivandlapalle village in Kadapa. He had gone to Kuwait just about a month ago and had been working at a farm-house. He is survived by his one-and-half-year-old son, wife Nagalakshmi, father Laxmanna and mother Lakshmi Devi. Ramanaiah hails from Aggivaaripalle village of Chittoor AP. He had gone to Kuwait a year ago and his wife, Nageshwaramma, is also working in Kuwait. They have three children. However, the state NRI cell

Govt

needs to act NOW otherwise the day when people fight for water, food and space are not far.

Some very simple and effective ways:

- Allow free govt education only for the eldest child except when the 2nd (or 3rd and so on) child is a girl in which case she takes precedence over the boys (if the family want the boy to get education they pay for it).

- Give more tax benefits to people with 1 child and fine those with more. Fines or taxes should increase exponentially with the number of children in the family.

- For SCs/STs families, reservation (in colleges and jobs) should only be provided for the eldest child.

- Make sure all quacks/doctors who help with sex determination tests are sent to jail for at least 10 years.

- All those who receive dowries should give a 30% tax on the amount of dowry received and extra 15% on their total income for that year.

- Fees in govt colleges (IITs/RECs/IIMs etc.) should be proportional to the number of siblings a candidate has.

check india census website. UP, bihar, waste bengal, kerala population is exceed their land. Their population density is over 1200 (delhi is exception as a one of union territory), which is dangerous and burden for rest of states and people. there should be law to force people from these state to have only one kid per family..

just 5 states represent 1/2 of indian population..still their fertile rate is twice national avg. they are going to double their population in 20-30 years and create more poor and problem for other states.

Kerala shows the way !
by piri on Apr 04, 2011 12:15 AM  | Hide replies

Two of its prosperous districts, viz, Pathanamthitta and Idukki have less people now than in 2001. The former has declined in population by 3.13 % while Idukki declined by 1.7 % !

Census directorate officials predict that Kerala state itself most probably will begin to have negative population growth from this decade on !

A far cry from the baby-manufacturing factories that other states have long become and still remain !!
