But where is Kalmadi ? As per media reports about a month ago Kalmadi was to be arrested 'in the next couple of days' !But nothing happened. Next media reported he was in Singapore or Hongkong or somewhere. Then he made a brief appearance in media to deny that he was absconding. After that there is no news about him and he has completely gone out of media radar ! What was he doing abroad when things were becoming hot for him ? Perhaps some 'deal' with the investigating agencies ? We don’t know. But what we know for sure is that the investigating agencies are not able to or not interested in taking forward the leads from Shunglu committee report in a manner to be able to file a foolproof charge sheet against him.They are not coming out with specific links of his henchmen and relatives to the various findings of nepotism and incurring of losses in the award and execution of thousands of crores of contracts relating to the CWG. The General perception of people is he has been let off the hook.
