I don't think it would made the news unless so many millions had died, and if the water was contaminated no one would no about it.It is shameful this nuclear deal, which makes us dependent of foreign technology and fuel.
This was the example how the tecnology can cause the damage.But this was the accident,and the side effects are reversible as every half life time rediation is going to be reduced to half.Definately after a long time we can go there and every thing can be made right after that. But the damge made to environment specialy to trees done by the biotechnology is much more than this, as it is irriversible and we are loosing so many plants for ever.But nobody talks about it.Even the experts are keeping mum why?In short the problem is like this, Plants do not have addoptive immune system so they can not fight with the new plant viruses which are killing them and which are out of recombination of the pramoter used to triger the gene added in the new genome. The trees are the only source to convert co2 back to o2 and absorb sun's heat to produce organic carbon or it's own food.But every body is blaming that the mass killing of trees of specific species is due to globle warming? How long they are going to lie?

biogas is the only solution.We will export biogas technology from India to Japan.
