It is absolutely evident now that the Manmohan Singh Government was in to the 2G scam upto their heads. The appointment of Thomas who retired as the Telecom Secretary, and subsequently as CVC was a elaborately thought out plan to scuttle any probe into it.Now with Robert Vadara's name coming up,it is clear that Sonia Gandhi was herself a beneficiary of the scam, with the guy holding 20% stake in Unitech.Could the Queen Empress (Sonia) clarify what is the 20% in Dollar terms and from wherethis small time businessman from Moradbad get the money to hold such an amount. It is well known that Sardarji is a dummy and Sonia is the be all and end all of the Congress and the Government. The Prime Minister May have started as an honest man, but now he is mentally and morally corrupt to the core and his Government must resign, and face a separate inquiry by the Supreme Court along with the so called HIGH COMMAND.

Maharashtra is the most corrupt state in the Union
by Kumar on Mar 22, 2011 10:20 PM  | Hide replies

Maharashtra is the most corrupt state in the Union. Maharashtra overtook Bihar the moment Lalu Yadav was replaced by Nitish Kumar.
Maharashtra is a heaven for the underworld, criminals and black marketeers.

Booted out southies, northies and others need not advice us in Maharashtra. Northies were booted out of Pak, southies were booted out of Sri Lanka. No need for these losers to advice marathis.

can you tell one area in maharashtra where marathis are in lead (except politics and corruption)compared to north or/and south indians ? Are they leading in Business, Stock Market, Education, Health care, Social Service ? Swearing at others do not change facts.

Why north indians and south indians are coming to Mah if they have such great achievements? Because they cannot get half a life in their own states. Their states are dysfunctional that is why they pour into Maharastra.

today maharashtra is not only epicenter of corruption but it is also epicenter of terrorism in India.. all fincance to terrorists via hawala is done via political and criminal nexus in maharashtra, even foot soldiers involved in terrorist activities through out india are mostly from maharashtra. maharashtra govt. is also in forefront of suppressing real faces behind terror activities like in 26/11 and diverting all terror incidents onto Hindus.

I fully agree with both of you, and say sarcastically JaiMaharashtra. But marathis hate North Indians (UP/Bihari in particular) more than they hate terrorists or corrupt people. So I am not sure that they will be convinced by your arguments.

Pleading Not Guilty...Steps
by Passed on Mar 22, 2011 09:43 PM

- Rejection/Refusal of charges
- Claiming innocence by ignorance of facts
- Claiming innocence by passing the buck
- Claiming innocence by lack of oversight
- Blaming it on predecessors for setting wrong policies

Instead of raising above situation and taking responsibility, officials are posing more risk by denying the wrong doing and continuing the same path.

feigned innocence
by premshanker gupta on Mar 22, 2011 09:34 PM

Everybody in the ruling community is posing as innocent. Raja claims, he will come clean, Kalmadi asserts he has done no wrong, PM take shelter under the compulsion of coalition. Country is being plundered and our precious wealth being stashed in foreign banks. People are starving, children are mal-nourished, inflation is breaking our back-bones, nation's image is being tarnished in the whole world and India is branded as the most corrupt nation. But all those responsible for ill-governance are feigning to be innocent. This is nadir of morality and ethics. Otherwise also, if the ruling community is so innocent, they have no rights to keep ruling over the nation to destroy it. We need a really honest, competent, bold and nationalistic govt. earlier the better and get rid of such innocent people.

Any one is expecting him to take responsibility
by Ramesh on Mar 22, 2011 08:49 PM  | Hide replies

He is hard core corrupted politician. Can you expect more than that? What is the use of even accepting the responsibility. Mr MMS took the responsibility and there is no punishment. As long as there is punishment for these political leaders, there will be no accountability for these crooks.

Thomas was the telecom secretary during 2G
To cover the scam Cong party (read Sonia ahmed patel etc) planned to make thomas CVC to sabotage CBI case on 2g graft. MMS chauhan and all were aware abt this crooked plan.

(what is the meaning of this is only known to you) MMS, A.Raja, Chavan since he is awarded the Chief Ministership of Maharashtra, so leave these honest persons and can blame anybody else and why not Advani Swaraj Jaitley for this crooked plan. No more 'Mr Clean'?
by Hebbar R on Mar 22, 2011 08:18 PM  | Hide replies

Was this Minister just a Postman to forward the recommendations of his Dept? When the Leader of Opposition brought this to the Notice of the HPC, why did the PM and HM not take time to once again check the facts? Or is this another of the plans for getting in another Keralite into the top echelons of power by vested interests as seems to be indirectly suggested by the Wikileaks?

indian are crying and blaming lot these days. not to forget about total obsession about politics, cricket and film.

i was shocked about media having debate on cricket which team india has to play on qtr final (aus or srilanka) which they were talking for hour 2 matches before qrt final. This was from NDTV and i believe same with other 10-20 channels which is going on for last 1-2 months. when even so educated people are so moron, stupid, how well you expect politician to rule better? just like people, you have politician.

people are making big out of thomas selection to CVC and about his suggestion. SC dismissed him, ruling party accept the verdict and PM apologies. We need to move on.. what we need to learn from this episode is that you can go court if you think government is wrong. That is what opposition or responsible citizen should do. correct the wrong doing of ruling party whether at centre or in state..

but i am sick of people negativity, political obsession, fighting over congress v/s bjp and expressing opining in religion and communal mind. whatever i said may not reply to your comments but i am ranting from what i said on forum everyday. bloody indian are sick rotten irresponsible people with full hypocrite. some of people have no life and moron comments same thing day after day with 100 of post like sore losers (for ex satish and 100 others).

No No maam. Indians are not stupid. They vote to the most eligible person in the election. It is another matter that most of the elected people are found to be corrupt and with a criminal background. But rest assured we will elect in the nest election more person like Phoolan Devi so that the corrupted and goons are not elected to rule over us.
