Xingen, As I know India was under foreign rule for 200 years and not 1000 years. Comparing Indian freedom struggle with Tibet is ridiculus. Indians never ran out of their home country and fought for the freedom being in exile. We stood up bravely and fought for our freedom. Our freedom fighters (Gandhi, Bose, Tilak, Bhagat Singh..etc) faced the British bravely and didnt run to other country like cowards and enjoyed VIP treatment..please bear these things in mind b4 you try to compare India and Tibet.
If you are so brave, why the hell wont you guys go to Tibet and fight the chinese, in the same way in which India fought the foreigners. We got freedom by confronting and not being in exile or a refugee. Yesterday we supported Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and today they are hostile towards us, whats the guarantee that you guys will have friendship with us forever. You guys are no better than China and you are the two faces of the same coin and just because you are a refugee in India, you try and win India's support and try to defend your exile by quoting British Occupation on India. You are a burden on us. Please go back and suffer there and please dont stay here and make us pay for the misdeeds of you guys.
Dalai has played his inning very bravely hope his successor will also be as effective as he was. Regarding Tibet, solution is not foreseen due to Chinese attitude, Indian govt. is very very weak to help in this matter, other nations are unconcerned.
China and Pakistan are real enemy of India and Western Countries. China supports NE militants in India. China supports Pakistan, Iran, N. Korea with nukes.
China is illegally captured Tibet which is integral part of India. Indian claim on Tibet is right because Hindus holy place of Kailas mansarowar is in Tibet. Also nearly all holy rivers of India originates from Tibet.
India and western world should support Tibet, Taiwan, and East Turkistan freedom.
India must supply nuke to Taiwan and arms to Tibetans. China do not have democracy hence support for such movements can break China in many peaces.
India with NATO countries have common enemy that is China. Hence democratic powers of world must work together to tackle Chinese evil.
Similarly Pakistan is biggest supplier of terror in the world. Pakistan have all types of modern technology imported from China.

Xingen, You guys are the main reason for the Indo-China war in 1962 and and the main cause for all the issues China has with India. Even today, China sees India in a hostile manner and never trusts India due to India's support to Tibeteans and of course due to large Tibetian presence. It is trying to finish off India by supporting Pakistan, extremists in N-E region and also building bases in Sri Lanka. Why the hell should we suffer and still provide shelter to lakhs of you guys on our soil.
Had your being in India not a cause of hostility with China, then no one would have bothered. We can help you, but not at the cost of our own Nation and out own people and our own tax payers' money. Better understand...!!

He is resigning ..he does not have the power, state country or govt. .. from where he is resigning ..
he is in india for so long .. how he was fighting hor his people killed in tibet...
we need a gandhi or shivaji maharaj like personality to fight in tibet.. by just staying in other country and running a parallel govt? which does nothing for people how u will get freedom...

its easy to give lecture. if Dalai lama goes back to Tibbet he will have live like a prisoner. they put camera even in his toilet. whats point of going there. by living in india atleast he is spreading buddhist spirituality in the west.

comparing tibet struggle with the indian struggle is not correct. tibetans has done all the things that indians freedom fighters had done during their british raj,only difference is that there is no freedom of speech and no journalist can report that goes against chinese PLA Govt.more then 1 million tibetans have died since 1959 tibets uprising day.for example,indian govt. securtiy and control of tibetans in india during 2008 olypic torch relay in NEW Delhi.truth is that no country is willing to fight for others and its the matter of their national interest.without dalai lama, tibet issue would have died 50 years before when whole world accepted chinese claim over tibet including Pt. Nehru JI OF INDIA. It is because of this old monk of 76 years who is keeping alive this issue till now against the most powerfull nation of world.it is easy to say or write , satya meh hi jet hai but in reality nobody wants to help other genuinely based on truth and justice.

The guy below is a chinees agent. he is saying why should we care about Tibbet. why not ? its our duty to protect weaker neighbour. As far china is concerned, they will do what they will do. we dont know. but we have to think what we gonna do ?? are we gona let communist choose a fake lama to replace dalai lama and rule tibbet with gun. or we are gonna do something. best thing is send indian company to run business, open offices there. send indian tourist often. if china does not then we also stop chinees coming to other smaller nation in himalaya where they are eying to get in.

So interested in protecting your neighbour, why not u go and protect our weak fellow citizens who are crushed by the mighty politicians-ganglords everywhere in this country. First look at the troubles we are facing in our country and then look at your neighbours troubles.

Enough! Why should we play the guardians of the Tibetans. After Dalai Lama's exit its time the Indian Govt asks the Tibetan exiles in Dharamshala to close their shop in India. Why should we play host to the Tibetans and invite Chinese wrath! Whats there in for us to be the housekeepers of the Tibetans!

Because its our duty to support the oppressed. If a big neighbor like India can not support Tibetans , who will? China will continue to be our enemy no matter what we do with Tibet. And its important we have an open issue with our aggressive neighbor to exploit in the future if required.

India should have had the guts to annex Tibet.Timid Nehru with a false view of China succumbed to his own folly.
