did u see light a candle for Japan on rediff??
by Raj Thackersey on Mar 14, 2011 09:20 PM  | Hide replies

Biggest misery among Indians this new culture of light a candle...!

What did you do for the soldiers who died on 26-11??
Well I lit a candle near the gateway of India.

What did you do for the victims of Tsunami in Japan??
I filled free online form on rediff to light a candle.

Stop your symbolic prayers and gestures which are so hollow in nature. You'd rather do nothing than light a candle.

God! What a horrendous natural disaster
by Shake Hasina on Mar 14, 2011 09:11 PM

Japan has had a horrendous disaster.

The visuals are compelling and make me cry!

As the events unfold in front of our eyes
we have have to sit up, salute and take notice
of the hugely disciplined people that have started to gather their lives back together.

by ganesh pai on Mar 14, 2011 09:10 PM

it is very true that every indian is feeling
extreem sympathy for Japan and thier people.
thy r really great. but the trajedy and japan r so closely connected.
I regret that none of our ministers nor the prime minister has expressed concerns over this trajedy. i think thy hav no time for all these issue, bcoz thy dont get any financial benifit from this.

japan Tragedy.
by M Thippeswamy on Mar 14, 2011 08:59 PM  | Hide replies

We all indians feel extremely sorry for this natural disastor. After WWII nobody expected that Japan can & would become 3rd economic super power. they are really great people of great nation. The world is proud of them & their gritty nature. Nodubt this disastor can give a small break in thier future but they shall overcome.
We Indians are & shall be with them.

Sad Tragedy....
by Joseph Dsilva on Mar 14, 2011 08:55 PM

A sad tragedy;however I am full of admiration at the way the Japanase people have conducted themselves. No looting but standing in orderly lines and no blackmarketing or breakdown in law and order.
In todays on-line edition of "The New York Times" they showed one bright moment on Sunday morning as Japanese naval forces rescued a 60-year-old man who had been riding the roof of his house for the past two days!
