The people who have seen the murder must come forward and tell the police the description of the people involved and any other information which they have. Similarly the friends and family members of the girl must think of all relevent information which could provide some clue towards the motive of the killing and share it with police. Many a times we become selfish and do not want to come forward to save ourselves from the hassle of police investigation and threat from the criminals, in order to overcome this, the identity of informers must be kept secret and the informers should be given an assurance for the same, even some reward could be given to the informers to motivate general public to provide clues to the police in such cases. Simply blaming the police and the Government is not going to help, police does not have supernatural powers, they need information from the public so that they could be more effective in tackling such cases. Wombs of innocent women were ripped open with swords, fetus were pulled out and thrown into fire or banged against the stone like a dhobi washing linens. The helpless women were then raped. This happened in Gujarat in 2002 and not a single person is punished until this day. Such things are bound to happen, when serious crimes go unpunished.

Hi Jasad - Were you there on the sight when such things happened as you describe? If so why cant you inform the police, CBI or any one rather than mourning here. I believe in Indian law. If you have proof then guilty will be definitely punished. If you are talking just on the based on some articals or stories then I am sorry you must grow up.

Unfortunate that a Girl is be shot dead on such a day, particularly in the Capital when whole Country is celebrating. WE CAN SEE THE MOST INEFFECTIVE GOVT RULING THE COUNTRY. THEY CANT TO ANYTHING whatever happens. But I put one question to the femaleswomen of India. We come across 45 yrs old males raping 5 yr old girls. DID ANY WOMEN ORGANISATION DEMAND DEATH SENTENCE, IN PUBLIC, BY WORST TORTURE, SO THAT THE MESSAGE SPREADS & NO ONE WOULD EVER DARE TO EVEN THINK OF SUCH HEINOUS CRIME. Women of Nagpur showed the best courage & best treatment to one such rapist, by beating him to death on the road itself. If any Lawyer takes up the case of any rapist, the Lawyer (lier) should also be charged with the same crime & also punished under the same section if he loses the case. And the Society should boycot him & his family, if he takes up rape case & supports the rapist/accused.

"There were too many witnesses of the murder but everyone denied seeing anything. It's unfortunate that witnesses did not cooperate with us," Statement of the Delhi Police officer.

Anna Hazare is a Congress stooge, he fasted when corruption was going on during BJP rule and he is quiet when Adarsh was happening !!!
is it safe to send ur son or daughter to a college in delhi--the law and order in delhi prevails similar to afghanistan.Introduce public flogging, stoning to death, cutting of fingers, public hanging in india for offenders and culprits and see the dramatic result
Laws that suite the land should be enacted. Copying Western laws in India wont work. Western laws are suited for western societies where education and awareness is high.
Not in this country where 50% are illetrate. More sterner punishment need to be enacted like in Saudi Arabia.

This is not the only option in Islam, there are alternative options too. Islam is a religion of mercy and peace.
