Supreme court a show piece
by Ajay Kumar on Mar 07, 2011 04:00 PM  | Hide replies

Why supreme court does not direct the state and central Govt. to help the Asha Devi and see that proper treatment is given to her two kids free of cost. Is our Spreme Court is a show piece which does not help poor people like present one. Now a days no. of PIL and Other cases are admitted in various court and thereby lot of Court Time is wasted. If such genuine case is fought in court, atleast these two kids will get life. How can we kill our own fellow indians. In such situation, even NGO, Industrialist, Film Star, Sports Person and even Politician should come forward and help the needy.

Why will the Supreme court order help to this poor woman? The judges will not get any publicity as no one will be interested in reading about the plight of an unknown woman in a corner of the country. But if there is something to be said about corruption in high places, or rebuking the govt, or any such thing which has the media, the supreme court judges will take it up with all viogour knowing they will get applause and wah-wahs in the media. That they shud be concentrating on hearing cases of the poor and clearing the back-log instead of trying to act as the divine executive is a thought that will not even cross their minds. Everybody wants to be on TV!

Just like some people believe in killing the poor to eradicate poverty, killing the problem is easier than solving the problem or making some sacrifices of your own for others. May be people are asking for mercy death because people around them constantly hurt them and show them that they are burden and worthless.

Also this kind of thing can lead to killing people for organ harvesting or other property and wealth inheritance temptations. Is there a guarantee that any doctor giving the clearance to be killed is not up for sale. Rather than trying to save people doctors will be looking for excuses to worsen people health and declare them suitable to be killed.

Human life is not a commodity and every reasonable effort should be made to save people until there last breath.

I agree with you ajay. Our court are waste of time. See the Ayodha Case. It takes 50 years to give judgement of one case. What a effective and efficient system our Indian Democracy is having .

Govt. where are they?
by Faisal Tabrez on Mar 07, 2011 03:29 PM  | Hide replies

It is very sad that a billion people nation and world largest democracy has no sensibility. Someone is in pain and we cant cure or kill. If we know that treatment is available and there are few who need it. I believe it is more worth than chasing Q of bofors etc. We need to identify that is this is what we call freedom that few of us has the will and might to use all resources and rest are to be helpless. Havent we seen how downtrodden have turned to violence? It is for sake of democracy to either give cure or right to die. Dieing should be personnel will since Govt. can not provide the basics to support life. It shall be human right to have right to die.

It is painful to read a mother;s story of her two young lads in such a helpless situation. May god come to her rescue soon and boys be saved. I appeal everyone to donate generously. I am ready to. Come on dear ones, this is no politics, it is the life of two poor kids. Let us have some humanity and shed this material world for sometime
