Had it been china or russia, PWD officals who built and maintain roads would have been shot for being negligent and indulging in curruption. Why cannot roads be maintened or commercial trucks carrying people be fined and stopped from doing so.

hey gentelman PWD will maintain roads only when govt.will give sufficient funds to the department. over loading and sitting in trucks it is not the bussiness of pwd it is a duty of RTO/SDMS/Police.untill unless people restrict theirself to go in trucks/small carriage vechicles no law will seize themand control the accidents,it is not in himachal every where in India some people likes to travel on trackters and trucks during kumbh and other holi days u can go to haridwar,kurukhshera,gayajee,nasik,kashi and other places same scienes you can see who will control them.it is janta only who could save their lives.
when pakistani terrorist kills 50-100 people, we make a hue and cry, when lakhs of people die in india due to burglary, theft, robbery, love affairs, accidents, naxalite attck, we do not feel anyting about that? who is responsible for this. in Mumhai alone every year 4000 people die in local travel. this is the un-human condition. we do not feel anythign about that. what a irony.

you have perhaps not read article in Mumbai mirror under heading "More people die in Mumbai's local train than in Kashmir". I am not publishing this here. These lives are not importnat, you mean to say? what precaution we have to save these lives? do you mean to say that in our country, we can die like anything? that is like when you fall yourself by stepping stone, you will held guitly and tolerate yourself, but if someone beats you, you will immediately revolt.
